I am prolly not the best person to say this out loud, but easily, if there was less hostility between TF2 communities, that'd be an amazing start. there's a lot of elitism against half-comp places like /r/truetf2, and while I guess one could simply say "well THEY'RE BAD AND DUMB", that's about 12k potential new people to interact with that you're alienating.

also, less hostility towards specific HL classes in general. as horribly designed as someone like pyro is, you do kind of need one of them, and there's a clear group of skilled pyro players, that could switch whenever they wanted. good players can simply use "lazy" classes, after all. or did we all forget Ma3la used to main HL heavy?

it's kind of the point, if you squint hard enough? worst-case scenario, you now have something you can point at if/when talking to valve about community things. as in, "hey, we loosened up our rules like you wanted, and it's about as painful of an experience as we expected"

it's weird to me, because when singled out, I really doubt people's opinions are as simple as the statistics would ever imply. there'd be more specificity within their statements that you can't really capture with the binary "THIS IS A GOOD STATEMENT/THIS IS A BAD STATEMENT" options we have

so, how many times has HRG used quick fix as of yet, and of those times how many have been successful? on the flip side, how many times did AG use the quick fix vs HRG, and how many times have THEY been successful?

if all of these huge metagame changes still do nothing to the best team right now continuing to roll through everyone with their completely standard and same old team composition, then maybe the weapons aren't the problem
