He probably means it's lower since we have UGC here for our lowest divs, but you don't have to be good to play in open.
chippyscybezis it possible to have avatars for the scoreboard?
It's not something I will put in but if you want to add it, open up Scoreboard.res and set "avatar_width" to 57 (which is default for making it square). This will distort the scoreboard so you will have to play with the "wide" and "xpos" values for "BluePlayerList" and "RedPlayerlist".
cl_showfps 0 to turn off the fps counter
Competitive TF2 started off with random crits and people still took it seriously.
Not sure how long "comp" Runescape has been around though, you'd think after a while they would want some way to disable damage spread/whatever it is.
super guide to extracting hud stuff
1. Download GCFScape. Even if you had it before, you need the updated version to open vpk's.
2. Through GCFScape open up C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\tf2_misc_dir.vpk
3. Right click whatever you want > Extract
ctrl+f "_minmode" in resource/ui/scoreboard
delete the entire line for every instance
It's the same as any other HUD element, xpos and ypos are used to set its position (the origin of the box is the top left corner), wide and tall to change the width and height. fgcolor sets the color. Just play around with it for a bit and you'll figure it out.
Custom colour box
"Box"
{
"ControlName" "ImagePanel"
"fieldName" "Box"
"xpos" "c0"
"ypos" "c0"
"zpos" "0"
"wide" "100"
"tall" "100"
"fillcolor" "32 32 32 240"
"autoResize" "0"
"pinCorner" "0"
"visible" "1"
"enabled" "1"
}
Team colored box
"TeamBox"
{
"ControlName" "CTFImagePanel"
"fieldName" "TeamBox"
"xpos" "c0"
"ypos" "c0"
"zpos" "0"
"wide" "100"
"tall" "100"
"visible" "1"
"enabled" "1"
"image" "../hud/color_panel_brown"
"scaleImage" "1"
"teambg_1" "../hud/color_panel_brown"
"teambg_2" "../hud/color_panel_red"
"teambg_2_lodef" "../hud/color_panel_red"
"teambg_3" "../hud/color_panel_blu"
"teambg_3_lodef" "../hud/color_panel_blu"
"scaleImage" "1"
"src_corner_height" "15"
"src_corner_width" "15"
"draw_corner_width" "0"
"draw_corner_height" "0"
}
Copy and paste, play with x/ypos, etc
AttakinBlakJakkI'm just curious about what the opinion of the community is on the new font because personally, I like the old font and despise the new font, but I know that this isn't based on my opinion but the community and more importantly yours whayay.
I dislike it as well.
rey-jectedTrog, would you mind posting the ClientScheme that would allow to get those certain shadows colors and darkness?
Here's the colour values used in that screenshot:
"Buff" "0 175 255 255" //Boosted health color
"LowHP" "255 0 0 255" //Low health and ammo warning color
"RedHP" "255 0 0 175" //"Low Ammo/HP" animation flash color
If you mean the black shadow along with the coloured one, adding that is a bit more involved. I can tell you how if that's what you wanted, but you'll have to redo it every time you update the HUD.
Because people don't like to play in a league with problems...?
"And... to this very day, relic has always wondered if that could have been him!"
All the HUD stuff is in tf2_misc_dir.vpk now.
HOW DID YOU ADD CUSTOM ELEMENTS?!?!
EDIT: fonts...
Now I have to learn how to edit those.
zigzterI think you need to change the tall value of 'topbar' and 'bottombar' to 0 in spectator.res
(resource/ui)
or change y/x pos to high value if that doesn't work
