I agree, it looks much more professional now. The logo stands out more with the new color scheme and font.

flame@ truktruk, couldnt you do /mode +x to hide your hostname on almost every network?
I'm sure its that way on quakenet and about 95% sure it was liek that on gamesurge.
You most definitely can do that, but I'm sure the vast majority of people didn't, which resulted in a fair amount of DDoS attacks. I didn't know about it until I magically started losing my internet whenever I streamed.
Pugging isn't dead, it's basically the same as it was a year ago. I don't see what the deal is.
Whenever this comes up I think people don't know or forget that the sole reason for moving to geeks was that it hides everyone's IP addresses.
Though I do agree that IRC is an archaic way of setting up PUGs - and hopefully what people mentioned about TF2 Center is true. Being able to set up scrims and pick up games through a website would be much more convenient for everyone.
Here's a sturdy dual monitor stand that I've been using for about a year: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001HHNCQY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Someone is a super nice guy who actively wants to get better. He has good DM, clear comms and deserves a dedicated team!
AuraMix do you have Verizon FiOS? I've been having this issue for about a month. I've called three times about it and nothing has fixed it just yet. The odd thing about my internet dropping is that the majority of the time it's only my downstream that drops for 15-30 seconds.
Muffins has proven he can get good at things quickly if he puts his mind to it. It took him less than a year to become one of the top surfers in the world (in TF2 and CS:S). That might sound funny but as far as I know it was unprecedented. Though playing against other players is much different than playing against a timer, I still think that is worth noting. If he spends time learning the game inside out with a dedicated team, he can become very good. He's a younger dude, but is well mannered and interested in working on his game.
The best piece of advice I can give is talk to your viewers. I don't mean just answer the questions they ask, use those questions/comments to strike up a conversation. This removes dead air and engages your viewers into chatting more and hopefully returning the next time you stream. You can have good conversations with only a handful of peeps, you'll make some twitch buddies while simultaneously growing your audience. Unless you're in a PUG or scrim/match, stay out of mumble and focus your attention on the viewers.
Remember that it takes awhile to build a viewer base unless you're a top level player and/or popular on some other medium (YouTube, twitter, etc.). Stream as much as you can as long as you're having a good time.
Shortcut strategy:
I can see it only being highlander to start off, but if it's successful I can't see why they wouldn't add 6v6 down the line. From my experience with TF2Lobby and TF2Center, Highlander feels like an organized pub and 6v6 is (usually) a clusterfuck of people either not knowing what they are doing or offclassing constantly. So I think starting with Highlander is by far the safest bet since it's a much easier transition.
EDIT:
popcorpOh and i want to know, even if they do implement Tf2 Matchmaking, what about Whitelists? is it going to be Pick and Ban system? any info in a code?
For some reason reading this made me realize that having a matchmaking system will finally help Valve understand the balance (and lack thereof) of certain weapons. Here's to hoping that this system exists, is successful, then proceeds to help balance the game.
Have the STV's of the BOYC tourney been posted yet?
HOW WERE THERE SO MANY PUBES IN THE URINAL
Seriously do people just shed after whipping their dingles out? Or was the urinal not cleaned before the event? The urinal legit had facial hair and it scared me.
EDIT: I guess as far as real complaints go, I second the tables and lights off complaints. The tables were pretty awful. The flat tables were giving people splinters and the one I was set up on had indents all over the edges making mouse movements unresponsive at times. I never game with the lights off since it puts too much stress on my eyes and I can imagine it became uncomfortable to some of the players playing matches with the lights off.
The chair complaint is fair, but it's not really that realistic to supply anything but the chairs we were given with the amount of people there. I brought a pillow to sit on since I figured the chairs would be bad and it worked out fine.
Everyone said that! I need to get better myspace angels with my webcam or something.
