Sounds quite interesting, though they might only send out surveys about games to those that have bought a ticket. As far a I remember that's what they did for Austin last year.
Memes are un-Christian. You're fired.
SpaceCadetIt would be really nice if ESEA would consider moving past this silly way of map choices for playoffs. Just allow the teams to pick maps themselves using a simple Map Ban System during scheduling, it can't be that hard.
I'm not sure what you're expecting when even CS:GO doesn't have a map pick system for playoffs yet.
Shortly = when I finally dig myself out of a mound of cardboard.
The issue (which was due to a DNS error) should now be fixed. If you're still having issues, please clear your browser and DNS cache.
This is quite possibly the most important proposal of our time. I am totally not biased.
It's worth noting that Glicko, like ELO, is designed for single-player games and thus needs to be adapted for usage in team games, and TrueSkill is essentially a rating system designed using similar principles to Glicko.
Practically speaking, for a game using ranks like CS:GO (and hopefully TF2 in the future) you probably wouldn't be able to notice the difference between the systems in the long run.
Unfortunately, teamfortress.tv cannot allow its content to be used on external channels, so any such channel would have to be done under an official channel.
As for whether we would, we have tried this in the past and found it to be generally underwhelming except for special occasions (e.g. broadcasting Insomnia reruns prior to an event). Since VODs are already available on YouTube, the audience for such a venture is very small, and thus it does not make any sense for us to pursue at the current time, especially with the limited resources we have.
I can't provide any promises or estimates for any possible adjustments to the system. Almost everything is affected by the system overhaul in progress, which has unfortunately been proceeding slowly due to its complexity and temporarily stalled due to currently occurring major changes in my life.
The system decides fresh bans based on the most recently played games of the participating players, not on the most recent games sitewide. Thus, the bans may not appear to function properly as the same map can be played in consecutive or concurrent games - this is intentional.

CollaidePeople playing in games mysteriously disappear in logs if they don't use the username pugchamp servers try to force
Idk if there's a possible fix but it's annoying to see 11 people in the logs all the time, even though there were 12
Do you know what username they're using instead of their PugChamp assigned one?
I've taken a deeper peek into one of the raw logs and the player is there, but has no name in the log. Therefore, it's likely that the logs.tf parser thinks it's a malformed line and skips it, causing the player to disappear. The probable solution would be fixing that issue.
There used to be more interest when PUGs had prizes, but without them they're basically a limited version of inhouses.
In-game coaching was always banned across all leagues. ETF2L made a clarification that it was banned after that whole controversy, but it had always been.
The only times it was ever allowed besides i58 were in some cups (Razer, I believe?) just beforehand.
