Thanks for the kind words.
To clarify, I'm talking about the recent versions of IE, not the old versions from years ago.
The hate that IE gets from the average computer user who doesn't know their motherboard from a hole in the ground is what I don't understand. Other than the interface, most of them wouldn't notice the difference between how the browsers function at all. They just hate on it because it's what the "smart" people are doing so they just jump on the bandwagon without knowing the reasons.
I think you're confusing the average computer user with the average gamer/channer/computer-semi-competent male. The average person I know really doesn't hate on, they just like chrome or firefox or safari (mac users) since IE wasn't a good choice at the time. Also, the legacy of hate is pretty justified considering how long it took them to get a browser that could compete with firefox or IE.
