so i'm looking for a team that's west coast so that i can -maybe- make my schedule look a little bit more attractive. i'm a mad decent roamer with 2 seasons of hl experience (i play a mean sniper). i've tried out for a couple 6v6 teams and been on two that really didn't last very long, but i'm eager to learn and receptive to criticism. ideally i'm shooting for low-open but since that's unlikely i'm willing to take any tryouts i can get- i really just wanna play comp again

that's what i was thinking, with my limited knowledge of networking it seems kinda... impossible? probably using the wrong word.

so i'm in the process of getting my new build completed and the only thing i'm undecided on is the nic. i've heard the killer ethernet nics perform well, but does anyone here have any experience or can you attest to whether or not they're worth more than say some $30 pci nic on newegg?
