glissquakeworld is the best quake hands down. duel, ctf, tdm, it's amazing. completely trumps every other quake or quakelike in terms of gameplay, strategy, tactics, fun (ok, slightly subjective), movement, and aim.
I honestly prefer cpma for duel, but i can't deny how fantastic QW CTF is in comparison to a vast majority of games including the other quakes.

dMenaceflatlineValve really needs to start using their beta to evaluate and test changes instead of just randomly pushing these changes on people and then reverting them a few days later.

EDIT:
Your sensitivity looks excessively high, or maybe you have mouse acceleration. This isn't always a bad thing, but unless you're extremely well-practiced, it usually hurts your ability to aim. Consider changing your settings if I'm right.
Aside from that, I can't give much advice, since you're playing on a public harvest server, where pretty much anything goes.

don't remember what all my picks were, I think I had escha to logy and captain earth though -- the latter of which I dropped really fast and the former I put off until my hard drive was full so I couldn't justify watching it

ClankUnrelated but I've had a couple times where my ping for every server was tripled for no reason. No extra choke or loss, but about three times the ping. Internet works fine otherwise (720p runs smoothly on youtube)
Haven't found anything that works yet, clientregistry, restarting computer, etc.
get a new isp bro
