ok hol up I wasn't criticizing you, and I'm sorry you went through all that shit, that sucks man. I was bringing up the fact that the TF team patched the game and only sent out an email to hlds_announce half an hour later, when normally they send the email roughly an hour before.

Oh no it's all fine, I just felt like sharing that story for the fun of it. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it.

#4 TF2 UPDATE FOR 04/17/19 in TF2 General Discussion
yttriumWicked hasn't put out a post because there wasn't an hlds-announce email. Again.

Yesterday was all sorts of chaos, Nexus 6 was at 0%, and some jackass caused some crashes including a vehicle rollover at Main and James which (somehow) forced the cops to shut down all of northbound Main for a good chunk of time. Didn't even let any buses through, they just kept them there shit out of luck stuck in the curb while reroute instructions were being handed out for those further behind to dodge the mess. They didn't even turn two of the southbound lanes into contraflow either even though it was pretty much all contained to the curb lane and a parking lot. Gave up, walked all the way to Portage and Main (and then underground a bit to get on the proper side - thanks a lot plebiscite voters) to get the one bus that goes across the river at Provencher instead.

Fun story: some guy's wife was attempting to cross the street on the Portage East side and he reached out and rescued her from getting hit by a car that had zero room to slow down (there was still a bit of distance but had he not held her it coulda been bad). I wonder how they voted in October. At the very least it was a refreshing display of faith in humanity.

Winnipeg food recommendation: to my surprise, my Bodegoes stuff was still rather warm throughout most of this ordeal. If Ai-Kon or something else manages to bring you here (or maybe the Stanley Cup Final if we make it that far providing we don't get Tampa Bayed), go check it out.

I really need a Pixel 2 XL.

- Updated/Added some tournament medals

Rumor has it:

- Here's a list of added tournament and event medals: FBTF 4v4 Open/Access/Elite, CLTF2 Prolander Tournament, Brazil Fortress Halloween 2018, Memes vs Machines, TFArena 6v6 Arena Mode Cup, and a medal for participating in Copenhagen Games

- Updated tournament medals include the removal of "Medal" from the Copenhagen Games Staff Medal's name, descriptions for UDL Spring Cup, Asia BBall Cup medals are no longer "Asian", and Palaise Limitless 6v6 medals now have descriptions.

- There isn't much else otherwise

- Not a part of this update, but do you use the in-game radio commands? Do you have an idea for a radio command you really wish existed but it doesn't? Matt Wood wants to hear from you about how you use radio commands and new ones you wish were in the game

Valve[GAMEPLAY]
Adjusted round loss bonuses with the goal of reducing a negative feedback loop following streaks of losses.
– Round loss bonuses are now based on the count of a team’s round losses. The count increases by one after every loss, and decreases by one after every win (minimum 0).
— With 0 Losses: $1400
— With 1 Loss: $1900
— With 2 Losses: $2400
— With 3 Losses: $2900
— With 4+ Losses: $3400
– Previously, a win would reset the round loss bonus. Now, a win reduces the loss counter by one.
– Teams still begin the half with a loss count of 1.
– This is enabled by default and can be controlled using the mp_consecutive_loss_aversion server setting.
– The round loss bonus is still limited to mp_consecutive_loss_max multiplied by cash_team_winner_bonus_consecutive_rounds.

– Added flashbang assists for players who successfully flash an enemy which then gets killed by another player. Players who threw the flashbang will get an assist callout in the death notice. However if another player inflicted >40 damage to the victim for the assist, the flashbang assist player will not get the callout.

– AUG
— Now that players have had an opportunity to learn to love the AUG, returning the weapon to its original price of $3300.
– M4A1-S
— The M4A1-S now holds 25 bullets in the magazine, and has 75 in reserve.
– Shotguns
— Price reduction for some shotguns: Nova ($1050), Sawed-Off ($1100), Mag7 ($1300).
— Nova penetration increased to 1.
— Sawed-Off range increased to 1400.
— Single shell shotguns in the middle of their reload sequence will no longer automatically continue to reload after a player holsters and deploys them.
– Fixed a bug that prevented C4 or enemies seen through open doors from showing up on the radar.
– Fixed a rare bug where a C4 bomb reset trigger could reset the bomb to a position that was not on the ground.

– Introducing the Prisma Case, featuring 17 community-designed weapon finishes, and the Horizon Knives in Chroma finishes as rare special items.
