#40 le economy crash in TF2 General Discussion
blankkhow tf is this still going cant they just take item servers down or something?

Maybe I should have allcapsed the "Disable the itemserver" part of my subject, but I've got some sort of feeling that Valve would just insta-can it if there's allcaps anything even if it is a true emergency.

#1 TF2 update for 7/25/19 (7/26/19 UTC) in TF2 General Discussion

Via HLDS:

Valve- Added the Summer 2019 Cosmetic Case
- Contains 22 new community-contributed items
- Added tournament medals
- Fixed and exploit where pipebombs could not be destroyed or pushed by the enemy team
- Fixed Medi-gun/Wrench items not dropping for the Mann vs. Machine rewards
- Fixed not seeing the team-goal hints during Casual matches
- Fixed a scale problem with the Brazil Fortress Halloween medals
- Updated the localization files

Rumor has it:

- Inventory images and Steam Community Market links for the Summer 2019 Cosmetic Case have been put together in a nice list here made by /u/DukeBruno123

- Said localization file updates, which are made possible in part by contributions from Translators Like You - Thank You, can be found here: https://github.com/SteamDatabase/GameTracking-TF2/commit/8c3b7adf89bdc8c72401f81b3dba472c4fc91890

- This update breaks another new all-time long drought between updates, which this time lasted 72 days (the previous update was on 5/14/19)
- The previous record was 63 days, a stretch earlier this year from 1/22/19 to 3/26/19
- As well, this is just the *9th* update of any kind for the game so far this year

- Size is ~20 MB

#1 CS:GO update for 7/25/19 (1.37.0.7) in CS2 General Discussion

Via the CS:GO blog:

Valve[ NETWORKING ]
– Added a game server network channel traffic analysis framework for each client connection.
– Added a game server setting, “net_chan_limit_msec”, which allows server operators to limit amount of processing time the game server can spend on processing packets for each client per tick. Clients that send packets causing server CPU processing time to exceed configured number of milliseconds will be kicked from the game server. Enabled CPU processing time limits on official game servers.
– Added a game server setting, “net_chan_stats_dump” which, when enabled, will dump statistics of each network channel when that network channel is closed. Statistics include messages, bandwidth, and CPU processing time breakdown.

Rumor has it:

- Beyond networking system updates, this one also contains localization file updates which are made possible in part by contributions from Translators Like You - Thank You

- Did you know: you can urn reel moni earn real money for responsible disclosure of security flaws pertaining to the game's networking system or any other aspect of the game? Valve's got a HackerOne page for you to responsibly disclose security flaws or other serious exploits, not just for CS:GO, but their other games and most of the rest of the Steam system!

- Special thanks to /u/DukeBruno123 for being based!

- Size is ~10 MB for clients, and ~25 MB for community server operators (latter per /u/DukeBruno123)

It's the 1.6 version!

- This is the Chicken Capsule, which contains various stickers with chickens (as the name implies) by a familiar community artist who also has another capsule in the game with their name on it, Slid3

- Chicken Capsule sticker images and Steam Community Market links are also up on CS:GO Stash

- If you need full-res images, grab them here by pressing the Rich Diff button (the file icon) on the ones you want: https://github.com/SteamDatabase/GameTracking-CSGO/commit/8c5ea870d7cf0a35c2c94bf98b70e9e194ca0d06

Via the CS:GO blog:

Valve[MISC]
– Fixed “cl_teamid_overhead_always 1” to show only a pip (and not also show a name) above a player.

- Translations, as always, are made possible in part by contributions from Translators Like You - Thank You
