SpaceCadetremedySpaceCadetWhy would anyone carry a concelaed gun and then have an "altercation" with police?Open carry of firearms in Louisiana is permitted without a permit, as long as the user is of at least 18 years of age and legally able to possess a firearm under state and federal law. Not sure how it is with concealed there but idk if they looked up his history on their phones before tazing and shooting him
I wonder if he even had a License to Carry a concealed firearm. Hopefully that part can come out at some point.
edit... After doing some reading and seeing his past criminal record, he would have never been approved for a license to carry a concealed weapon.
He wasn't "Open Carry". That is typically done by having the gun in a holster and belt for all to see, hence Open Carry. It is 100% legal and also wasn't what this guy was doing that at all in this case.
Even if he did have a concealed carry permit, one of things they teach you in class is to let Police Officers know you are carrying a weapon. I was pulled over for speeding like 2 years ago and the officer asked for my license and registration. Before I did anything, I informed the officer of my weapon and my permit. I listened to every command he gave me and I was disarmed outside my car. He verified my license, gave me back my weapon and I paid my ticket.
I regret even commenting because my only intention was to objectively ask why you would physically fight police especially if you have an illegal weapon on your person.
But the police knew he had a weapon, it was the entire reason they were called to location in the first place. Sterling had been selling CDs outside of that convenience store -- with the owner's consent -- for something close to 6 years. The store owner said he considered Sterling a friend. The police came after a citizen called 911 and reported that a man selling CDs was threatening people with a gun outside of the convenience store. Like prime minister Blair, these officers decided to shoot before exhausting non-violent options first. One of the most tragic aspects of this story -- outside of the absolute devastation to the family and innocent slaughter of a civilian -- is that, according to the Huffington Post, Sterling didn't even actually have a gun at the time. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/alton-sterling-video_us_577d668ae4b0c590f7e7d2a7?section=
UPDATE: According to Buzzfeed, new footage has come forward that shows Sterling did have a gun; however, he was murdered before it was removed from his person. The shop owner, who watched the whole thing happen, said he believed what the officers did was murder. https://www.buzzfeed.com/claudiakoerner/new-video-shows-police-removing-gun-from-alton-sterlings-poc?utm_term=.fhw0RQqmr#.fpDlwVen4
TheFragile This can't even be compared to the b4nny/clockwork/lauren situation. The difference there was that lauren was actually into b4nny and clockwork, yet from what I understand....
Responding to unsubstantiated gossip with more unsubstantiated gossip doesn't really address the substance underlying the quoted comments -- how this decision will destroy other teams, why this happened, what public statements Ronin will release, and its potential unfairness to involved players -- but it is an effective deflection technique so props for drawing attention away from the impetus of the original comments.
It was great meeting you at GXL Nick. Thanks for clarifying the b4nny/clockwork situation for me.
I'm not sure where you live but:
- beach with friends is always fun (bonfire/volleyball/surfing)
- live music shows/karaoke (a lot of my local bars will have live music for free)
- road trip somewhere you haven't visited
- check groupon for fun deals nearby (or food deals)
- museums (in LA there's the taylor swift grammy museum right now!!)
most of the time i just enjoy getting mexican food with my friends and having a kickback at the house. and then week by week we'll rotate what activities we do at the house (videogames and wine for me, friday night football for the guys, pool party for the girls, backyard bbq, taco tuesdays, wine tasting night, board game nights) and that works really well for us. another fun thing we do is "family dinner" where all of us get dressed up, set up a big table and some fairy lights, and eat nice steak and cheap wine. good luck finding something to do
Be honest, confident, and humble when you approach her. A lot of girls can tell when a guy is legitimately a nice guy and there's no reason to make her doubt you by bamboozling her with bullshit and games. From there, put an honest effort into spending time with her. Try to find mutual interests between you two, that'll make getting to know her considerably less awkward.
Nice, funny guy who's fun to play with. Pick him up.
Strong dm, funny, dedicated to the game and his team, and overall nice guy. Pick him up.

Sorry i think the privacy settings were set to friends? all the pictures should work now.
I think there were minor things (better tables and chairs) but overall, I thought you guys did a great job organizing this. Thank you to everyone who came to the venue early to set up, stayed late to clean, and just ripped their hair out trying to keep this event going smoothly (especially you nick :3). Also the outro frag video was well done and touching. It was wonderful to see everyone and I hope we can do it again.

Awesome guy. great dm, good comms, and one of the few people who actually commit to adapting their playstyle to accommodate the team. Pick him up.
