#26 Decent GPU+CPU to get above 250 fps? in TF2 General Discussion
viperya u should definitely be getting more than that

i have less ram, a less powerful graphics card, and basically the same cpu as u and i pull about 250 fps in midfights, but that could be explained by my overclock

paging setsul/comanglia

I've been getting a lot of issues with my computer recently. I've had micro stutters in almost every game. For example in Dota 2 when spectre ults or terroblade uses a illusion ability I stutter. I think it is hardware related. After this happened I accidentally broke the clip on my gpu but it still plugs in fine, unsure if that is causing issues, maybe loose connection.

I'm guessing either my hard drive or ssd is causing issues, or that it is my ram or motherboard. I moved a prebuilt to a regular case and am using an oem motherboard. it's a pain to update the drivers so I'm just going to buy a new motherboard and if that doesn't fix it I'm gonna test ssd/hdd and then ram.

EDIT* my benchmarks were fine as well
UserBenchmarks: Game 93%, Desk 83%, Work 69%
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700 - 82.6%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 - 96.4%
SSD: Intel 600p Series NVMe PCIe M.2 256GB - 119.3%
HDD: WD Blue 1TB (2012) - 89.2%
HDD: WD Blue 500GB (2010) - 73.9%
RAM: Hynix HMA81GU6AFR8N-UH 4x8GB - 82%
MBD: Acer G3-710

#24 Decent GPU+CPU to get above 250 fps? in TF2 General Discussion
vipernimby5539I run a 7700 non k with a gtx 1070, 32 gb of ram, and I still drop to 190 during mid fights. Is something wrong with my gpu or something? I know its not throttling my temps are very stable. I use cowmanglias cfg
what speed is ur cpu clocked at when ur fps dips that low? since its the non-k version it should be turboing somewhere close to 4.2 ghz

#1 Is null movement thread good for soldier? in TF2 General Discussion

I haven't used the null movement script since I started playing. My team is telling me it will improve my strafe/movement on soldier.

I'm just curious how many im/invite soldiers use null movement script and how much of a difference it makes.

This is a thread I found from two years ago discussing null movement script and there are mixed opinions.

#1688 mastercomfig - fps/customization config in Customization
lexkicks01Use this command: tf_use_match_hud 0

Let me know if your game stops stuttering.
Turns out it was this thing all along that was causing problems.

thanks so much. the command stopped a lot of the stuttering I was getting. I was still getting a little stuttering so I bought a new cable for my monitor. With the new cable I get no stuttering. Thanks for the help!

lexkicks01nimby5539i keep getting ridiculous stuttering every time someone join or disconnects from a server
Me too :/ It must have something to do with models being loaded on demand? It happens as soon as players join teams or change classes.

it happens way more in a full mge server and it seems to occur even when nobody is joining or leaving. so maybe it is caused by class switching. when im scrimming I get far less stutters.

edit* ive been looking into this a lot. possible solutions ive tested/am going to test: are downloading new graphics drivers, including using DDU to full wipe my drivers first, clean install, my monitor cable needing to be re plugged in/replaced, faulty ram, i have tested cowmanglia and mastercomfig, going to try rhapsody
edit** i think that its a hardware/driver problem, i get stuttering in dota 2 as well. gonna order new cable for monitor see if that fixes it

#2 mouse movement feels slippery in Q/A Help

Maybe check these:
m_customaccel 0
m_customaccel_max 0
m_customaccel_scale 0
m_customaccel_exponent 1
m_forward 1
m_filter 0
m_yaw .022
m_pitch .022
m_side .8
m_mouseaccel1 0
m_mouseaccel2 0
m_mousespeed 0
m_rawinput 1

I find that m_mousespeed set to 1 or 0 doesn't make my aim feel worse, just different. It's supposed to disable windows mouse accel which raw input already does.

A lot of people say that gaming chairs are overpriced. I see this post a lot in r/buildapcsales with recommendations. Here is one: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/9k4yw5/are_gaming_chairs_worth_it_or_are_they_gimmicky/
