#2 Gamemode opinions? in Map Discussion

CTF has always had potential.

Here are my posts about it.

#244 yttrium's competitive viewmodels in Customization

Oh sorry. Disguise Kit should be hidden and I probably just messed up the filenames in the program. I'll eventually get around to fixing it, I'm away for a bit (again).

EXC0Listen I installed this a while ago and just kept it, and now the uninstaller isnt getting rid of it. "Looking for previous install... None found. No need for uninstall."

I even tried reinstalling and reuninstalling but I am getting this error when trying to reinstall:
http://puu.sh/qBsz7/e249e60acc.png

I honestly just want to get rid of it now : (

solved this over steam

for those having any issues:

  1. open regedit and delete the key at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CompVMInstaller\TF2Path
  2. go to Team Fortress 2\tf\custom and delete compviewmodels.vpk
  3. make sure your Team Fortress 2, tf, and custom folders are all not set to read-only
  4. relaunch the installer and try again
FreudAfter some further playing around, I found that neither 1.0 nor 1.2 hide the spies PDA, even when set to do so. Both versions will hide the engineers build and destroy PDAs.

I also feel I should clarify that I never tried the 1.1 installer, so it could have the same issues as 1.2 for all I know. I never had any issues with the 1.0 installer.

No versions hide the PDA, the functionality just isn't there yet. Spy animations are handled a bit differently than every other animation so that the spy can have both a PDA and weapon out at the same time - I'm not sure I'll ever be able to figure out how this works, but maybe I will. For now you can't disable the PDAs though.

SetsulThere is no preference here. AMD hasn't released a new high end CPU in 4 years. And even back then the single threaded performance was terrible.

yo setsul did that Zen leak make you tingle inside like it did for me?

watch dogs was bad, and I mean really bad, but it wasn't this bad. Sure it looked bad and was a little boring but at least they didn't actively advertise features that just didn't exist a week before launch (I'm aware the E3 demo from years prior was a little misleading featurewise). and even though it performed badly, it still performed way better than NMS... at least turning down the settings raised your FPS lol

Battleborn.

Battleborn was hyped and didn't get popular but it wasn't inherently bad...

obe_This game's PC release was a fucking disaster and it's gratuitously overpriced but it made some good bank given its tiny dev team

The PC release wasn't the only disaster. The entire game across all platforms performs and looks like crap, and is full of empty promises.

Without knowing anything about this game prior to its launch, it if launched on Early Access on PC only, it would just be the survival game of the month, that's all. This is literally abandoned EA garbage sold as a full title.

NightGoatSpore.

sue me but i actually enjoyed spore.

it probably helps that it ran fairly well, had a solid art style, and didn't promise an infinite universe. NMS runs like shit, looks like shit (all the promo art is great but every single ingame screenshot is trash), and promised the fucking world and beyond.

yttriumThere's so much hype about this game with so little substance to back it up that I think it'd be wise to wait and see how it pans out.

oh hey look what happened

#11 Windows 10 anniversary update boosts FPS in Customization
BurningSmileYou can just remove the xbox app

Open an elevated(Admin) powershell

Put the following

Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

this has nothing to do with vsync being forced.

it's a part of dwm and it's essential to how dwm works - you can't get rid of it without getting rid of dwm (which is what Win7 + basic/classic does).

that said win10 shouldn't irritate anyone more than win8 did, because win8 forced dwm as well. in fact WDDM 2.0, which comes with win10, does fix a lot of the input lag issues without vastly changing how dwm works. also the anniversary update should fully address all of the issues that WDDM/dwm had in the past regarding bad max framerates with multiple displays with mismatched framerates (which i've detailed and dug into in a couple of posts here on TFTV).

#32 Rogue One in Music, Movies, TV

movie looks good but it definitely isn't shot in that star wars style that ep7 managed to replicate really well. guess that's why it's just a supplemental movie tho.

#278 yayahud in Customization
Patkarhttp://imgur.com/a/2TjZH These are bugs which i found (i know that there is no many but i hope it will help)

First screenshot I'm not sure, probably just a font issue. I'll look into it later. Scoreboard I'm aware of and will look into at a later date. Respawn timers are probably also a font thing, but I'll look into shrinking them (and using a cleaner font). The nickname issue is because you're using floating target IDs which aren't supported, check the github readme.md. You can disable specific gamemodes, you just have to click to the right of the name - there's supposed to be a checkbox there but it doesn't show up for some reason and other HUDs have this issue too, so I'll have to ask around.

#276 yayahud in Customization

Well feel free to list them, it's much easier to fix bugs like this when there's a clear, concise, and defined checklist of them for me to work with.

What's not working in yayahud? I know of a few alignment issues with round timers in MM but otherwise it should be updated.
