After finagling with things for a week or so i've found the settings that work really well for my system.
i nominate hooli for gamer of the month for helping me and as runner up wazerwifle for pointing out that it looked like a bag of dicks before i fixed it!

#37 Relationship help? in Off Topic
kuza1. Instant Messaging can turn almost anything into an argument, you can't read tone. And in a way you were both wrong. He's right that you should be able to learn how to google shit on the internet, but he's wrong for the way he went about it. Guys are bad for this, and it's a common trait you'll find in a lot of men. We're insensitive because we're less sensitive. He should be more wary that because you have trouble learning that it's a touchy subject for you. He'll learn when he matures.

2. You are WAY too young to get married, and by the looks of those logs, so is he. But if you have to get married then there is 1 key to staying married. And that's you both have to want to make it work. You'll be able to have arguments and debates without it tearing apart the relationship as long as you both know you still want to be together after the spat. You both need to communicate that you want to make it work for the long haul, and if he doesn't you need to know NOW.

it's like kuza says, men just want to fix it, and he doesn't understand your issues because he hasn't been through them, he just knows what worked for him :\ in other words he is putting the table together without the directions xD just be patient with him when he is trying to "teach" you how to figure things out, it sounds like he is very smart individual.

#15 How to in TF2 General Discussion
thorn_flippersprobably the things outside your life but, if you want to have fun try looking for some good mods like mge or soap dm to work on pure deathmatch, deathmatch IS fun, i dont care what people say about pure dm, it might not be that constructive, but its fun as hell
DM is the most productive thing a new player can do, it is VERY important. DM also happens to be the funnest thing in the game for me.

DM and MGE show the largest improvement over time :) that is why it is very welcoming for newer players that understand practice will make them better.

also this

kirbymge is the least serious thing in this game.

#14 not motivated in life in Off Topic

haha, i understand what you mean vile i sort of have the same situation :\ i don't have a job being that i'm younger then you but making a goal like getting a car would give you a reason to work hard for your pay check, sometimes my parents are annoyed at my lack of work ethic but the thing is i don't really care what they think because if you go through life trying to impress or even gain the approval of anyone but yourself and possibly that special somebody then you will be very unhappy and it'll feel like you don't care about much.
i used to care a lot about things but now i don't and why is my business but when i think about it there is no reason to impress people who think you aren't doing well because honestly they are downers most of the time and like to pass off the blame of being a failure onto someone who is doing great!

also, community college is nothing to be ashamed of there are some great people who graduate from them and do very well for themselves.

#14 Streaming in Q/A Help
DeRobertCYou need to use the ping checking program that tests your ping to all the servers. You should use this http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=326034 and just pick the location with the lowest ping. It's always important to check even though you may assume a location close to you has the best ping. Hope this helps.

ok thanks dude i didn't know about that i'll try it tonight but i have to be at a party like an hour ago :3

EDIT: turns out there is a fucking server in virginia that i didn't see the first time, that should improve it some i think.

#9 Streaming in Q/A Help
HueyLewisTry using dxtory or OBS or just something different than whatever you're currently using. I get a jittery feel with decent fps when I use screen region. Dxtory smooths it out for a lot of people.

i'm currently using OBS and i love how it doesn't lag my game but i've tried both capture software mode or w/e and dxtory and both seem to be unbearable for viewers.

#6 tftv mumble in TF2 General Discussion
FogIf there's enough interest, I could potentially run a new 100 slot mumble or convert my existing 100 slot mumble into a public mumble

that would be awesome, i've seen websites that have the ventrillo boxes that show who is connected that would be cool if enigma can do something like that with mumble.

zephyrWhy do you type like you're 12? Anyways, it comes down to your upload speed and how fast your rig is. You're probably using bandwidth that you don't actually have available.

Go to www.speedtest.net, post your speeds here along with your encoding settings.

good suggestion thanks zephyr, this is my speed test results.

all the weapons that go through people are a bit dumb, righteous bison is crazy as well you can do like 80 damage per shot from half way across mid because it hits everything more then 1 time.
