op and marshan
proto. he was easily a top sniper a year ago and is one of the best scouts I've ever played. also a nice guy!!!!!
i guess people thinking you're mid open and actually being mid-high open technically qualifies as underrated
I’m going give this a shot for each class.
Scout
dflame (el farmo) – It’s hard to put an invite capable scout on the underrated list but I think it happens a lot cause of past rep and other things. He has strong performances every season and he is leading IM in frags while doing it with significantly less match time played.
Soldier
MostlyBacon (NAB) – From what I have played against and spectated this season, the NAB roamer is arguably outperforming just about every other IM roamer this season. He is Top 5 in IM Soldier Frags and doing it with 50% or less heals in most cases. He also leads IM in Medic kills.
Medic
Fabulous (EVIL) and Yipyapper (Baddies) – Both are on Mid-IM teams and IMO have been carrying their team success so far. Both are mostly under the radar but have had strong performances in matches this season with little or no credit.
Demo
Moy (Boobies & Cat5) – Having played with Moy for the first time at the beginning of this season, he impressed me quickly and got to show what he can do with a strong team around him. He controls ground well and supports his pocket, 2 things many demos never learn to do correctly. His DM is strong and he does a lot of small things that do not show up on the stat sheets but make the team win rounds.

I don't feel anybody gives enough credit to kaptain despite how big of an impact he made on crowns

I don't feel that makes him "underrated" though and the same goes for most other Invite players. Its obvious that kaptain is an incredible soldier and always get credit for being so good. If you are underrated, it generally means most people don't know or acknowledge how good you are. At least that is how I see it.

Yomps is not underrated just not talked about as much as I think he deserves
He reminds me a lot of Starkie with all the playmaking

how could he be the best scout in invite when saam is in the division?

He has the same if not less impact on the game with 3 times the heals. slemnish and yomps was the best scout duo by a mile this season.

well if they were that much better then surely evl would have been rolling over froyo, since scout is the most important class (xd) and they're evenly matched in most other aspects

Vandskeez and corsa. I guess these are both strange examples to bring up since they are both well-known invite players, the latter having been an invite player for a while now, but allow me to elaborate.
Beginning with skeez, and all jokes aside, he is actually a fantastic player. I can never tell if some people who don't actually know him are serious about evaluating him as a player based off some joke another invite player made or some asinine frustration that someone in a pug might have. That, or a handful of select moments from one of his less admirable matches. skeez is actually a good medic though (I differentiate this from being a fantastic player because a fantastic player tends to include things like keeping a cool mind), and more importantly, he is someone that doesn't have an ego for the most part while realizing what it takes to improve as a player let alone a medic. It would not surprise me in the slightest that, if he were to keep playing and there was something to play in, he became a truly incredible medic.
didnt skeez get prefired by the cowmangler at mid to insta die like 3 times in row in a match

froyo tried 9000x times harder, individually they were close in skill and evl definitely had the better scouts

fair enough, although i'm not sure how you measure "trying 9000x harder". shade at least definitely didn't really seem like he gave any fucks about this season

I'm gonna dispute that, corsa and arekk were actually quite close and say that arekk is underrated and the second best scout in NA after yomps

you could also look at the stats for the grand final
map 1:
b4nny - 337.5 dpm - 51 frags 29 deaths - 2149 HR
freestate - 242.9 dpm - 31 frags 30 deaths - 2314 HR
slemnish - 256.7 dpm - 44 frags 28 deaths - 2320 HR
yomps - 282.5 dpm - 39 frags 34 deaths - 1648 HR
map 2:
b4nny - 279.4 dpm - 34 frags 16 deaths - 1774 HR
freestate - 243.3 dpm - 29 frags 20 deaths - 1853 HR
slemnish - 214.3 dpm - 28 frags 22 deaths - 1678 HR
yomps - 261.7 dpm - 21 frags 28 deaths - 1432 HR (distorted by offclassing to spy)
tbh the only thing i'm getting from looking at this and the game is that yomps doesn't receive enough heals
and it definitely doesn't support the hypothesis that he "does less than yomps/slemnish/whoever with 3x more heals"

people will continually look for someone other than b4nny that they can call the best scout in NA because they like novelty and/or dislike b4nny
yomps is definitely the 2nd best but b4nny still has the biggest game impact by far
