As a spectator, I've always enjoyed watching the vanillatv's insight videos and I really don't know why they stopped making them. I really learned a lot about the 6 vs 6 metagame by watching the different perspectives.
With that being said, could tf.tv possibly do something similar or was there a legitimate reason to why vanillatv stopped doing them?

Brilliant idea. Loved the VanillaTV insights but it's time for new insights, especially considering Europe has finally allowed important unlocks. Old roamer POVs from Europe are now almost useless :/

Yeah that is true. I would love to see more perspectives of roamers such as Tagg and Blaze.

VTV Insights were beautiful. They made my boring classes so much more endurable...

They were basically an NA version of the VTV insights, however they stopped because no one submitted demos and mumble comms.

My guesses:
- CUBE and Shrike have been unavailable
- The desync with mumble audio recordings is frustrating to work with
- POV streams became way more popular
Edit: there are a few new channels that upload povs or team comms

VTV insights are basically just what you can get from any stream, if you find the right place in a vod. There are tonnes of good players streaming recently so if you want the content, it's right there. Maybe not from everyone but there is loads of content from good players of every class.
And if you want players explaining their play, it's more up to the players to produce stuff like Ipz and Zaibatsu, like GeaR.

I still think that it would be a good idea to still have some POVs in tf.tv. Centralizing content onto a single site would make it a lot easier to find. Easily accessible content would be really good for new player who could learn a lot from the insight. And if it makes it any easier upload, the videos don't need to have the mumble comms, as long as there is a supply of content on this channel that would be good.

It looks like we'll be doing insight VODs again soon, in the meantime we've made something slightly different. It's not a POV insight, but a live recorded comms-only stream. Every round we switch perspective to the other team's comms.

Broder and Zaibatsu again with a very close match. Thanks to atmo now with a pretty mumble overlay.
