there's a huuuuge # of "here's my PC build pls rate" threads on the hardware board, not to mention the several threads of "recommend me a _____", which kind of leaves a few threads of anything else people might want to find
proposal: a megathread for each hardware thing, one for PC builds one for mouses etcetc, possibly with a guide on each OP that can show general how-tos. this is also real convenient for anyone who isn't willing to sift through every single thread about these things, and they get everything they absolutely NEED to know in a single post

I was thinking about this before. Where we have people on the forum make a big guide about computer things, have pros and cons of each mouse, and maybe even have a poll on types of mouses and people vote for which ones they have to see which ones are possibly most trusted.

I think a megathread would be awful for PC builds. It would be come incredibly confusing for just about everyone involved. The entire reason the Hardware subforum was created was because a lot of mouse/keyboard/pc build threads were popping up.
IMO They've already been grouped together, there is no reason to further group them together. If you don't like seeing so many of them, you can unsubscribe from it in the your sidebar (in your user settings).

...how so? you didn't really explain that at all

I don't want to ditch the hardware forum, though. I want a decent hardware forum to get info from, and its current form really doesn't do that

Maybe subthreads within the subthread?
And pinned master threads with general answers

I'm... arguing against having multiple questions and topics at the same time, because there's no reason for it?
people are getting mad for really weird reasons about this

Because really the PC questions are not the same question, a recommended build can differ massively depending on what they want to use it for, and the price range / already owned parts, whatever. Lumping all that into one thread isn't a good idea.
