Start up a saltybet-esque stream that allows players to bet on MGE matches.

a break will be amazing

i was pretty much hooked to this game, i could scrim 20 hours a day if it was possible, took a month or so off without any TF2, and now i'm back to my true love.

I, too, admin a fuckton of things that are some necessary and some not. I've spent many hours over the course of many nights fantasizing about shutting them all down. There have been several weeks where I never launched the game (why play what isn't fun?) but still spent more than an hour a day helping people with TF2-related things.

For me, the thing that kept (and still keeps) me from quitting was changing the way I played. I quit every team I was on and took some time off, then came back as a different class playing a different format on a different account.

The admin stuff I still do I mostly do without devoting too much emotional energy to - it turns out that a lot of the stress I was attributing to being an admin came from just being generally miserable with the game (and, as additional spillover, generally miserable with my life). Taking a break helped.

What also helped was remembering that the game is silly and should be played silly-ly. I used to play MvM a lot to do silly shit, but then I started taking it too seriously and had to stop. Recently, my outlet has been pyro dodgeball and randomizer.

IDK what to tell you. Good luck.

Not really sure why #34 is getting -fragged, but it's generally how I've felt over the past little bit.

I know what you mean man, my motivation to play TF2 has dipped so far down, I'd rather play GO anytime I hop on my PC.

With that said, do whatever you love, if you leave TF2 and really miss it, you'll come back.

AndKennethMR_SLINnobody ever quits tf2
Not quite true, but my advice to fog is to take a break. Say you might come back some day, but take a break. If you get the itch, baby get back in here and shake your booty.

no, it's true. I have multiple friends who tried quitting tf2 to pursue irl goals but nope they still play tf2. it's a fucking curse i swear

Tf2 is gaming nicotine. I've quit the game, but I'm still posting here sadly, the ccommunity is too interesting to me.

Fog, you have always been a great guy and great for the community, so I say this with great sadness mixed with the desire for you to be happy too. I am fairly certain that if you were to leave today that we have enough people to keep everything from falling apart. The great thing about that is that if you ever were to come back (and everyone does) you could have it all back.
