I'm buying stuff from, and need it shipped to Malta. It's a bit of an esoteric location to ship to, and I'm not sure how many other online retailers aside from Amazon ship to here. Do you think Ebay is an option worth considering if I find sellers on there that ship to here? I usually buy a lot of the stuff I can't get from amazon from Ebay anyways, but idk if it's worth it for computer hardware as of yet.

There's a few local shops. Ebay depends on the seller.
Scan and overclockers as well as quite a few german shops that do EU shipping definitely ship to Malta.
Mindfactory and a lot of the bigger, cheap shop sadly don't, but I could obviously forward packages to you if you want.

We have a couple Scan stores in the country, but nine times out of ten, buying from Amazon is cheaper than buying from their retailer.
My friend who has a €2.1k build told me he bought all his parts except his case from universalcomputers.com. I checked out their prices for the parts I'm looking for and they're way cheap compared to anywhere else I've checked. I might just get my shit from there, thanks for the help though <3

Im trying to figure out the best course of action to raise my minimum FPS in Overwatch. Trying to achieve consistent 155+ fps in all situations, currently dropping as low as 115ish.
Current build:
i5-3570k @ 3.7
HD 7950
ASRock z77 Extreme 4
8g DDR3 1600MHz CL9
The way I see it I have 3 avenues to upgrade without having to build an entire new pc, in order from cheapest to most expensive:
1. OC the cpu a bit more aggressively, currently have a mild OC of 3.7, would I get an increase in minimum fps if I tried to push it to like 4.2-4.4ish? Im on a Hyper 212 Evo and the highest Ive seen these go with that cooler is like 4.5 max.
2. Upgrade the RAM. This is the area I am most unfamiliar. I know that it has been show that upgrading RAM can increase min FPS in Overwatch a good a bit, would something like 2400MHz CL11 RAM be an improvement over what I have? I really dont know much about RAM speed and timings.
3. Upgrade the GPU. I am open to buying anything up to a 1070 if it meant achieving what Im looking for.
What would be the best course of action for me? A combination of those things I mentioned? Something I am missing entirely? Maximum budget would be a 1070 and new RAM but would like to see if its possible without coming to that.

Look at CPU and GPU usage to figure out what's the limiting factor.
1. Stock turbo is 3.8. You've underclocked it. Yes, overclock it. I mean you paid for a Z77 mobo and a cooler. Waste of money if you don't use them.
2. You mean that post where someone went from single channel 1333 MHz CL11 which is legitimately the slowest RAM that is sold to dual channel 2400 MHz CL11? Yeah, you're not going to see anywhere near as much of an improvement. If your RAM is on 1.5V you can oc it anyway.

Any updates/reviews on AM4 motherboards yet? I'm thinking now of going with one of the B350s as I'm likely to never use dual graphic cards. Waiting to order/build until I pick out a mobo, a bit tentative as a lot of them seem to have iffy reviews so far.

Hey, relatively unfamiliar with individual pc parts and what can run what at ____ fps. I've played games on a laptop for as long as i can remember. Going into college soon to work in information/network security etc. so i want be a lot more familiar with a desktop beforehand. Also, I would love to be able to run games like Overwatch, CSGO, and TF2 well enough to stream and/or have a monitor to run at 120/144Hz. My budget is probably around $600-700 for the PC alone but am open to spending more if necessary. Just was curious if anyone was willing to help me out with a part list. Any help is extremely appreciated. Feel free to add me if you want! Thanks
edit: JDuff was nice enough to help me make a list. Lemme know what you guys think of it https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Ponterrific/saved/mvPGXL

Hey Pont, look for the pcpartpicker permalink in the top left corner of the website, it will link your parts in a way we can see it.
Need a suggestion for an SSD. I'm currently rocking a B150M mobo which has an M.2 slot. I have a budget of around £65-£100

Oc the CPU, oc the RAM a bit and then either get a new GPU or lower the settings.

See #2238, you need to post the correct link.
#2239
120GB with actual M.2 or 250GB with just SATA?

I'm pretty sure its actual M.2, and after doing some digging around:
How is this? M.2 AND 250GB?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-CT275MX300SSD4-Internal-Solid-State/dp/B01IAGSDJ0/ref=sr_1_7?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1490127187&sr=1-7&keywords=ssd

No I mean do you want an SSD with actual PCIe M.2 or just a SATA SSD in another form factor that's more expensive?
SetsulNo I mean do you want an SSD with actual PCIe M.2 or just a SATA SSD in another form factor that's more expensive?
Will I notice the additional speed increase of a PCIe SSD compared to a SATA connection? Since I basically only play TF2, Rainbow Six Siege and CS:GO, I guess it isnt that important

Well if you don't care about speed you should just get the cheapest SSD you can find. But I don't know why you'd want an SSD in that case.
EDIT: To clarify this is about capacity vs speed.
PCIe M.2 120GB = smaller but faster.
SATA 2.5" 250GB = larger but slower.
SATA M.2 250GB = same speed and size as 2.5" SATA but more expensive most of the time. Does not make sense.

You are probably better off with an i5 7600 rather than an i5 6600, unless you can find it at a decent price

7600 is the 6600's successor. Slightly faster, same price.
Don't buy ITX mobos unless you are actually going for an ITX build. At that point you pay for them being smaller and having less features.
With micro ATX you can get 4 RAM slots (and you should) so you can get 2x4GB, use dual channel and still be able to upgrade.
Faster and cheaper HDD.
That PSU is currently on sale and much better. Deals will change though.
Don't buy the VG248QE. Also this monitor got FreeSync, which is nice.
Not a fan of Corsair keyboards, but let's not go down that rabit hole yet.
I'd stretch the budget a bit to include and SSD.
Also keep in mind that an i5 is usally not enough for streaming, unless you're willing to sacrifice a lot of fps and quality.
If you can wait until April get an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (219$ afaik). 6 cores / 12 threads are much better for streaming than 4 cores / 4 threads. You can also oc it and get it to about the same speed as the i5-7600 so there's not many reasons to not get it instead of the i5.

Alright I took a bit of your advice, Setsul. I also decided to increase my budget significantly since I figured I would be working most of the summer. Let me know what you think when you get a chance (I appreciate it a ton)

Well what is your budget now?
When do you want to build it?
Not sure what you're trying to do, do you want to overclock or not?
The SSD Plus is a fairly slow budget SSD, I'd get a better one.
Sadly the deal on the PSU has ended, I'll have to look for another one.
Do you want G-Sync/FreeSync/Lightboost?

Probably will end up overclocking. My budget is around $800-900 not including peripherals. I'm planning on building it this summer, and I'm not very familiar with the technicalities of monitors so I'm very open to suggestions

You need a Z270 mobo for overclocking.
Don't get a low profile cooler, it doesn't make any sense.
Read up on monitor features.
There's so many parts still being released until summer, it's not worth making an exact partlist already since it will change.
