i've been looking for some good single player games to play when im not feeling in the mood for multiplayer ones or it's really late at night. what have you been playing recently that you've enjoyed tftv?
I'm half way through my annual playthrough of knights of the old republic. Game has aged amazingly and is like sooooooooooo good. You don't really have to like star wars to enjoy it (but it helps). The game is amazingly deep and will take up a good amount of your time and can be played with just the mouse if you so wish which would be good for your case of 'late at night'
banished
recently released sim city like game but very difficult

fable, kotor 1 & 2, alice: madness returns and arkham asylum.
Binding Of Isaac, i think most people know this one.
Far Cry 3 was really fun but its a tad bit demanding, i think alot of people like its predecessors but i never got to play em so idk.
Just cause 2, because you could either take it seriously or just fuck shit up all day.

Dragon Age: Origins is amazing once you get used to the combat system. Antichamber is a great puzzle game, kind of short though.
i've been playing pokemon rom hacks, specifically emerald 386

The Witcher 2, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Fable: The Lost Chapters, Outlast, Penumbra series, Stacking, DeathSpank + DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue
If you're willing to put in the time to get past the barrier of requisite knowledge Dwarf Fortress is a ton of fun.
Beat Hazard. But to really enjoy it, you have to play the music from your boxes really loud.
And Sword of the Stars: The Pit

Sid Meier's Pirates! It's just another one of his addicting games, but my is it addicting! Just a note however, the game IS ten years old, and does have some glitches. For me personally, I have an audio glitch that makes the game loop the audio and crashes it in some parts. Just a heads up if you decide to play it.
Mirror's Edge is also a fun single player game you can try.

State of decay was pretty fun but you can only get like 10-20 hours out of it.

Dishonored was pretty fun, also Batman: Arkham Origins is an excellent game.
Play Dark Souls for the preparation of Dark Souls 2!!! (also make sure you get DSfix mod and a controller for the best results, unless you have a console to play it on)
arkham asylum is also an awesome game. better than arkham origins imo
I've been playing the fallout series recently which is really fun
Paranautical Activity.
It's basically BoI with doom aspects.
Pretty addictive

Resident Evil 4 is coming out on steam @ the 27th if you like resident evil games.
Guacamelee! is fantastic, Dust and The Swapper are also really really good.
Also, all the Far Cry games on Steam are 75% off today and all of them are a blast to play.
