tf2's sound has got so much bass in it, is there a way to apply a low pass filter or equalizer to the sound output to reduce the rumble?

at rewind, you couldnt hear the casters or anything else in the venue because of the bass whenever someone shot a rocket

Low pass filters only allow the lows to pass. You want a high pass filter.
