After that huge win 10 update a day ago, my aim felt like total shit. It felt like my aim was very sluggish so I reverted my version and everything felt much better. Is there a setting or something in the new update that's causing this kind of input lag or something or is it just placebo?

After that huge win 10 update a day ago, my aim felt like total shit. It felt like my aim was very sluggish so I reverted my version and everything felt much better. Is there a setting or something in the new update that's causing this kind of input lag or something or is it just placebo?

yeah update may have turned windows mouse accel on again (it's called 'enhance pointer precision' in the mouse settings.)

Generally, all builds after 1607 messed up a few things including mouse handling. Supposedly m$ fixed it recently but people still report issues so perhaps it hasn't been fixed entirely. Build 1607 will be supported until March 2018(or 2026 for LTSB) so you can hold on updating until then.

Yeah, definitely check to see if mouse acceleration is on. Also, make sure you have the fall update, and not the creators update. Some people are receiving the creators update now, and some haven't even received it at all.
If it's the creators update you installed, try to force it to download the fall update. Creators was buggy as absolute fuck for a ton of people, especially in regards to mouse behaviour.

ty for the answers. I think it must have been pointers precision but I reverted and I dont really want to go to the more recent version just to check but if it's mandatory to update in the future, I will keep the answers in mind.
