Like it sucks that he got banned, but how the hell did he think that wasn't going to happen?
OwenI missed the video he got banned over. Hopefully he can keep going on a new account though, always liked his stuff. Not as good as runeshark was tho :P
it was a 9 minute staking website promo, no gameplay besides being given 1b by the company for staking.
apparently he made a lot from it, enough to move into a new apartment with his gf.

Yeah never played OSRC in my life what the fuck happened
It's against the rules to buy or sell gold, items, services, etc. in exchange for real world dollars. (Real World Trading [RWT]) Youtube personality "A Friend" got paid real dollars and 1B in runescape gold to advertise a gambling site that uses RS gold as currency. Jagex decided that exchange was against the rules and banned him.
It's more controversial for him to do it as well because he used to be a sort of golden boy for the OSRS community, and he's since fallen off after he did some things people didn't like. It's also ironic because he got a bunch of backlash for advertising another gambling site (the same gambling site?) in a youtube video not super long ago. He used to be a player moderator and everything as well, and I think he's just sort of gone off the deep end at this point I suppose, but I've never followed his videos too closely to begin with.
