can we talk about the fact that they randomly decided in the middle of the season, that games cannot be rescheduled past saturday???

like i get it's stupid if a match gets pushed back more than a week or so, but to go from effectively no limit on rescheduling to the most strict limit it possibly could be, is a very Bad idea (also, playing matches on fridays or saturdays literally never happens in 6s lol at the very least let people play on sundays)

changing the map pool mid season is already crazy enough, but if you're going to do this, at least do the same process of polling all the team leaders and getting a consensus

This div is so small that we gonna play against most teams twice, why tf we spazzing out on 1-2 officials getting punted to the future. Summer isn't a free season people got short burst vacations or summer midterms or literally anything that goes on in a normal non neet life and u saying furthest we can push a match is by a handful of days.

i think that the crazier thing is that the last day to play is a saturday. the number of friday/saturday matches in adv+ is probably in the single digits, and with the matches coming out on mondays recently we basically only have tues-thurs for match days. especially considering its the summer and people have lives i think it's a safe assumption that teams will probably not be free every week tues-thurs and might need a different day (like sunday) to play

[spoiler]The 6s Head Admin decided this week that matches can no longer be rescheduled past Saturday, without telling anyone (not even the div admins or mods?! more about this later), the reason they gave being, rescheduling past the reschedule date (saturday) will affect the scheduler, which means that they cannot schedule the following week matches without all matches played. The other reason for the change, according to them, is so they can get schedules out by Sunday, to allow teams to have more time to get pick bans done as that was a big complaint they were getting. Also that this change was made back in S14.

After awhile they ended up changing the latest reschedule date to Sunday after some protest from the TLs, and saying that because of this change matches will now be posted to Monday instead. The 6s Head Admin then said that they will be putting this in the end of the season survey and adjust the next season accordingly.

I wonder who's right? There's actually a simple way to check. I looked at all the previous Advanced matches that were rescheduled and check when the next week matches were posted based on the date on the comment admins usually post on the match page. If the reschedule date is after the date of the comment, then it tells me that Scream is right.

Let me introduce you to Jemond (Current adv Admin) and Plinko (Amateur Admin helping adv since jemond was moving to a new house). They approved 3 matches that have been rescheduled this season so far, past Saturday!! (The change to sunday was like 3 days ago, no exact date cuz I cant see the channel!!)

Yo, I'm not an advanced player yet, but I actually can empathize with what is happening. I miss the days where matches were placed on a late night Friday and I would stay up researching anything I could about my opponent. RGL is killing our competitive scene faster then the declining player base. It is so agonizing that we have to constantly post on a forum site so RGL would give us a response promising change, and then nothing happens. The staff team is out of touch, and it is extremely concerning that we have people that are governing their respective divisions when they have never played in that div I feel like that would play into decisions in getting ringers accepted by an admin when they get denied by the opposing team.

It seems like the RGL admins are only strict on rules that don't affect the actual game. Like how they banned aim for casting a match, and RGL didn't give him permission to even though the enemy team was fine with it(I think). They are strict on restrictions at the wrong time being overly strict on the wrong type of players and too easy on players they should be harsher on with restrictions.

never understood how we're at the whims of the scheduler every single week. for advanced and invite schedules should be simple enough. at the start of the season schedule every team against every other team. if a team dies mid season overturn all their games to forfeit wins. after every team has played every team once schedule rematches (and then i guess you'd have to decide if it's better to have the top team be rewarded with easier matches or if rematches should be off whoever is closest in seeding)

but really you should only need to schedule matches twice, once at the start and once at the middle of the season

new development: admins told us we could reschedule to monday (fathers day and ppl on both teams being unavailable) but just now went back on that and are forcing us to play sunday with only a day's notice

how are they even allowed to do that, we were perfectly ready to play on thursday and then the night of the match they seemed to cave and say okay fine it can be reschedule (cuz there were gonna be 2 ringers on both teams), and now they're flip flopping again? this shit is seriously so absurd it's like they're trying to be as difficult and as possible

like sorry but the admins should just forfeit the right to make decisions for a div at a certain point, once the season is started let the rules be how they are for that season -- u failed to even start the season correctly with the map pool, had a shitfest swapping that around (but did it via a poll thankfully), tried to implement this nazi ass no reschedule rule mid season, changed it saturday to sunday, then said we could have this exception to do monday, then went back and said no exceptions, what's next? 3 more flip flops after this? jemond stepping in and saying enough is enough let the players have their way?

the lesson to be learned here is if you try to be too heavy handed as a league and make too many strict rules, you're inevitably going to make the wrong decisions and piss the players off (see all the RGL bad threads -- did we ever see those threads for esea or etf2l? no because they just let ppl play the game and don't get in their way), but alas our Community League cares less abt the community than their own power tripping
