Hello,
I am looking for someone willing to help me code a IRC bot, to be used in a new IRC channel. It should be fairly simple, and I would like to roll it out very soon.
Add me on steam here: http://steamcommunity.com/id/wezlyyy/
Thanks

there used to be a tf2ring channel. no one ever used it. people just post in tf2scrim if they want to ring usually. what will this offer that will convince people to use it?
megawacwhat language are you coding in? Python?
yep
i was just thinking about this. it will be nice to have.

to make it more focused, i am willing to bet it will speed up the ringer finding process.
when it comes to ringers, people usually just hop on their friends list and go from there, maybe some lower level teams will benefit from this that don't know that many people so i suppose it couldn't hurt to give it a try
We have something like this in Ozfortress, but it's just a bot that hangs out in #ozfortress. All you have to do is go !merc soldier demoman and it will show you whenever anyone says !mercs.
This is a better option, but it would need to probably have the approval of the powers that be in the channels you want it to listen in.
I would definitely use this channel (provided it had a sufficient userbase and infrastructure) (rip #tf2.ultiduo.na).
