I have met yomps at Rewind II and it was one of the greatest day in my entire life. He was one of the nicest person to me knowing the reputation I have in this community and I have mad respect for him for being so fucking good at everything, super compassionate and just positivity all around. I still can’t believe that he is just gone like that man, my deepest condolences to his family and friends. I hope you are in a better place now friend!

I wish all his loved ones the best. This is a time where everyone is already pretty bummed out by everything going on in the world currently.Rest in Peace Massive Legend
The couple brief interactions I had with yomps were enough to convince me that he was one of the warmest and most genuine people I'd met in this community. What a waste.

God, this sucks so much... :( My deepest sympathies go out to his friends, family and all those affected by this in the TF2 community.
Rest in peace, Yomps.

RIP yomps. His streams were always a delight and he was one of the most level headed players in invite. He accomplished what most top players could only dream of.
even though we only met for a couple minutes at rgb4, yomps was one of the most down to earth and kind people I met. he was and will continue to be a player I look up to and strive to be like both in and out of game. rest in peace :(

i'm so incredibly shocked, this feels so surreal. i only knew yomps for a brief period but he was one of the most sweetest, lovable people that i have ever met. the most fun i have ever had playing video games was playing with him. he was always so incredibly positive and fun loving all the time, i loved him so much and adored our time together. obviously we all know that yomps was so incredibly talented but beyond that he was just such a great, joyful person full of life. i love you buddy, rest in peace
i don't even know what to say. this is terrible news. my heart goes out to all the people in this community who were close with him as well as his family.
you were one of the people i looked up to the most. i'll miss you.

Incredibly saddened by this news. My thoughts go out to his friends and family.

This one hits really hard, man. On top of how ridiculously good he was at this dumb game we all play, yomps was one of the VERY few people in this community that you would just never hear a bad word about. He played the game with such joy and panache, and when things didn't go his way he never took it out on anyone. In a fairly insular online community, where a reputation can precede you for years and first impressions are everything, yomps was always capable of seeing the good in people. I never got to meet him in person at LAN, but every time I interacted with him he was absolutely lovely, full of curiousity about others and without a prejudiced bone in his body. I still remember how he randomly made me a mod in his chat, without me even asking for it, because he was entertained by my essay-length tf2 theorycrafting rants. Rest in peace, friend.
I don't want to overgeneralize, but sometimes it really seems like the people who have the most love for everyone else in their life don't make time to love themselves. As someone who has struggled with depression for the better part of my life, I know just how selfish this disease can be, and how it can convince even the most universally beloved person that he or she is completely alone. All I can say to anyone else out there going through some stuff is that nothing could be further from the truth. Let this thread be a lesson that, even in a trivial hobby like ours, we can all make an enormous impact on one another's lives. In ten, twenty, fifty years, I know that everyone here will still remember yomps the player, and yomps the person.
