mtigalow budget, should i get a g203 or a g300s? what are other options
G300s is pretty outdated. Viper Mini is incredibly tiny but it's well built and has a flexible cable. For a bigger option see the Steelseries Rival 3. It has a slightly higher LOD but you can reduce it with some tape on the sensor. G203 has a polarizing shape but crisp clicks. If you can stretch your budget the Glorious model O/D is a decent option if you're okay with slight creaks.

Been using the Razer Viper Mini for a few months now, has been serving me great. Even though most people will say it's a very small mouse, I have relatively average/large hands (20cm long/10.5cm wide) and i could still adjust to its size relatively quickly and I even feel like I aim better with it now than with my previous mice. For comfort while just spending time on your computer and stuff I'd say a bigger mouse is definitely better, but if your only goal is to get one for gaming you can hardly go wrong with the Viper Mini
edit: One of my previous mice was actually a g203, it's also great but I'd say in this day and age the Viper Mini is a straight upgrade to it in every possible way

Thanks, imports are pretty inflated here, and i've been only finding logitech at reasonable prices, but if i find a Viper Mini i'll try to bargain for it

Collaide_KermitDoes anyone have experience going from a g403 to the g703?
I'm considering a wireless mouse and I think logitech stopped making the g403 wireless (don't know if it's just because of covid though), and I really don't want to change to a different shape mouse, the g403 has been perfect for me for years, just want wireless now.
TL;DR If you make the jump you will likely get used to it quickly, the mice are of indistinguishable quality.
Follow up on this, what Collaide said was exactly correct. It took me two weeks or so to get used to the ever-so-slightly different grip, and the mouse feels amazing now. I'd recommend it for anyone that likes the g403 and wants a wireless mouse with a new hero sensor.

^ g703 is great. I used the first steelseries rival for about 5 years, immediately got used to the 703, it feels the exact same in my hand only a tiny bit shorter. I charged it when I got it 2 weeks ago and I'm still on 40%, amazing battery life

Ordered a custom AC+ pad. From what I understand its not crazy soft and doesnt have a lot of friction even when you push into it, can anyone confirm?
Experiences with hybrid/coated pads? Going to order one should the ac+ not work out and use it as a desk mat if thats the case.

Planning on getting a new mouse and mousepad for christmas cause they're both getting old and unreliable at times (HyperX Pulsefire FPS and Steelseries QcK)
I mostly play soldier and medic, hard wrist aim, 1600 dpi 2.3 ingame, not that firm of a grip it seems. I also have big hands with fairly long fingers (span of a tenth to an eleventh on a piano if that helps in any way) so I can't settle for a mouse that I can only fit half a finger on.
Thanks in advance

for finding a mouse that is a good size.
for mousepad, i love my allsop raindrop (using it feels very natural, both easy to move the mouse and to stop the mouse accurately).

yo I'm trying to turn over a new leaf, so I decided to get a mouse as far away from my boomer preferences (palm/claw hybrid, always used large ergo mice, been using an ec1-b for the last few years) as possible for comparison's sake
I'm exaggerating slightly because I'm not gonna become a fingertip aimer all of a sudden so I don't want a SUPER teeny tiny mouse, but after thinking about it for a while I know I definitely want a mid sized wireless ambi mouse, and I'm basically between the viper ultimate, g pro wireless and model o wireless
all of them have great reviews, but my biggest worry about each is:
-viper ultimate- might be too low profile, making any sort of semi-palm grip uncomfortable
-g pro wireless- the double clicks, plus the price point (and I definitely don't wanna splurge on the superlight)
-model o wireless- standard old-timer revulsion towards the holes, plus I've heard murmurings of qc issues if you're not a youtube reviewer!
can someone help me sort though this morass? I am hella overthinking this lol

G pro superlight, xm1r, viper mini and hati-S would be better mice, 60-70g range/ ambidextrous. If you have the budget for it. Check out boardzy's reviews alongside these https://www.youtube.com/c/Cynadote/videos
Also can recommend slightly lower friction pads since you are moving away from boomer tech, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RAnmZxDNduaGV8kB-GCvZ0MO6d9-0j9jmrU2f8dp0Ww/edit#gid=0
dont go too low on friction. might be hard to control, if you are not used to low sens/ more arm motion.

all of those mice are too small for me with the exception of the g pro superlight which is too expensive and the xm1r which looks solid but is wired anyways, boardzy is also one of the cringe cultists who thinks palm grip is inherently bad despite playing nothing but fortnite so I can't take him too seriously
as for mousepads I recently bought the aqua control + in like an xxl size, pretty psyched to see how it does

I mean dont get me wrong, there are very few top aimers that I know that use palm. Palm definitely limits full aim potential (for most people). But you should use a grip which is most natural and comfortable for you.
Also its not just boardzy that thinks palm grip is bad, every grip has its pros and cons. Palm is the most comfortable for long gaming sessions but is the most restricted in terms of degrees of freedom. If claw/ftip its causing you strain, burning sensation and inflammation in your joints then youre doing it wrong and should stick with palm. When I switched from palm to fingertip there was a transition period of discomfort, it wasnt anything unbearable or bad like the things I mentioned above.

saxophonethoughts on mm710?
It's quite nice in how lightweight it is and I liked the smaller shape of it with the hump towards the back.
The problem with it though is quality control, the first one I ordered and the replacement both had coil whine which isn't a huge problem unless you don't have you headphones on then it's kinda annoying. The first one I got also, unless it was just pure chance since I did change multiple things at the same time, caused my computer to hard-lock and needed me to shutdown the whole thing. I sent that one back as well as changed other things so I have no clue if that is what caused it. If you buy through amazon though they are good enough with returns/replacements that I got my replacement before needing to send the first one back. Also apparently the mm711 improved the QC but it is a little bit heavier from the added RGB.
In the end as long as you are fine with possible return process as well as the possible coil whine, then it's a great mouse if you like the shape and size.

I'm already getting sick of the short lifespan (3 to 5 months I think) of the Logitech B100 mouse, but I only have 47$ on me. Any long lasting options that have a similar size to the B100?

EDIT: After checking the B100 size, yeah the Viper Mini should work for me.

yeah, the hien fx soft xl is the artisan pad I got and it's awesome, but after getting a skypad 2.0 the skypad is just kind of better once you break it in/get used to it.
The skypad is like having a control pad with the static friction removed.
It also plays quite nice with the orochi v2 stock skates and tiger ice skates on my other mice.
The rawaccel/mouse acceleration discord is slowly becoming the skypad discord because while other pads are awesome too nothing really holds up to the skypad right now.

bought an xtrfy mz1 recently after my zowie fk2's mouse1 stopped working, really happy with it
low weight, good mouse feet and i suppose also the shape make it incredibly easy to move around to the point where i had to lower my sens for it to feel normal, im now on 800 dpi 1,6 ingame and still find big yet precise movements really easy to make with this mouse, would recommend
having a cable is sort of annoying but after tying the excess up i dont really notice it while playing

I don't have a skypad but I do have a glass pad(from a local glass shop rofl) and it's incredible I don't see myself ever going back to a soft pad. Should you choose to go the glass shop route I would suggest getting a small piece of acid etched glass first to see if your mouse can track on it. I got mine and loved and so I decided to get a larger one. They mentioned they had to order it from a different company and the new one didn't work well with any of my mice. The skypad very likely doesn't have this problem thankfully.

I can also vouch for the MZ1. RJN's video covers the benefits of the shape well, but the short of it is it has a top tier level of grippiness and is specifically a fingertip mouse designed specifically to give room to do fingertip things. The comfort grooves and the good coating make sure you don't lose control of the mouse while making both microadjustments with your fingers and macroadjustments with your wrist and arm without issue.
I think my problem with the orochi is the right side of the mouse combined with the length making the sensor placement into a problem to some extent as far as why I may switch back, but I haven't put my finger on it entirely yet.
It's probably the best package out right now for fingertip short of someone figuring out how to make a sane wireless version of an m1k(which is pretty slippery, but I never had issues with keeping a hold on it due to it being so light), considering the m1k's cable is total dogshit.
I've been giving the orochi v2 some time, but something feels kind of wrong about the egg shape in a different way from how the superlight felt like it just wasn't as comfortable as I'd like, so I'll probably have to go back to the mz1 if I want to fingertip or corsair sabre pro champions edition(which superceded my rival 310 as basically a straight upgrade) non-rgb for palm or claw.
