Nika catBOWCAR (/kætbaʊkɑː/; Georgian: catBOWCAR; born February 29, 2000), also known as the Unabomber (/ˈjuːnəbɒmər/), is an Georgian PugChamp terrorist, anarchist and former rapper. He was a rap prodigy, but abandoned his musical career in 2012 to pursue a more primitive life. Between 2013 and 2018, he exposed three racists and got 23 others banned in a nationwide exposure campaign against people involved with racism. He issued a social critique opposing PugChamp admins and advocating a keyboard-centered form of anarchism.

as you can see, the game was a 5-0. so iusti picked a terrible team, and then subbed an upgrade player. to get rolled 5-0 anyway.... a tragic story

Disregarding the above, why is it a thing that people can kill the draft so that their friends can play?
A few nights ago we had a draft going, someone killed so their friend could play and then half the people didn't bother re-adding cause it was taking so long. I know it's a circle jerk but it also slows the process and makes it harder for shitters like me to get into pugchamp. You kinda end with the same people playing every pug rather than new people.
Surely that's the whole point of the deadline timer really; to get pugs starting asap so you can have more pugs overall.

pugs were made for high level of play and most of the time people kill either to not have a shitty roll pug or to have a few better players add increasing the quality of the pug, there's new rules about killing without a reason too

Pugs aren't really a high level of play when most people always have to be doing something and can't stalemate for more than 30 seconds without resorting to random uber trade or sniping or 6 man sacs. Sometimes you have to be the guy to sit and stare at a doorway for 3 minutes whilst your team does something else.
Seems insane to me that people don't want to do what it takes to win but cry so hard when they lose.
Probably the biggest difference between top prem and low prem players too tbh.

I've started playing pugs on november 2020.
Entering a certain circlejerk made it possible to actually get picked on pugchamp and have fun.
Elo wasn't here yet (again) and people were trying to have fun. Of course the so called A-Pugs (Prem/D1 Level) were somewhat tryhard-ish, but that's to be expected on such a high skill level.
Where I'm going with this is, entering 2021, pugs have been shit. And I'm not talking about people crying about Elo or some circlejerks gaslighting certain individuals to get them out so their friend could play.
I'm talking about how toxic this community has become as one. It's sad to see people who I've had a lot of fun times with turn into enemies over a FUCKING WEBSITE. It's a game guys, no need for this toxicity.
I'm not gonna drop names, but certain people on this website are straight up toxic. They're toxic if they're losing Elo, theiy're toxic cause you play 2 division below them. They'll find a way to make you feel miserable for trying to have a fun pug with some friends. It's not even funny anymore at this points, it's just stupid and it's kinda sad to see and hear how many people started to dislike pugs since early 2021/end of 2020.
downfrag me all you want but in conclusion:
fuck the admins who allowed their circlejerk members to do what they want and get away with it
fuck the people who destroyed their friendships OVER VIRTUAL NUMBERS ON A SCREEN
how about we just start to see pugs again as what they are: not relevant.
scream at your teammates in your scrims i don't fucking care but stop insulting random people on a daily base.

youre supposed to have fun playing video game guys pls
The phrase “it’s just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice. There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle.

I'm sure the skill level is truly astronomical, but the fact remains that you'd get more pugs going if the draft wasn't killed so often and people would spend less time waiting. You could argue that redrafting so a good player is in the draft means that the next draft is worse too so it's a net of 0.
And actually I think pugchamp was made so that people can play pugs, so it fits in with that.
Not a witchhunt against the admins, but I think it's one of the issues that stops Pugchamp getting new blood too and probably should be addressed every bit as much as, for example, offclassing rules.

Yes I agree completely and my previous point was pretty stupid.
IMO kills can be ok but most of the time they're big mood killers, especially if long wait or if they got chained, but what can be done to prevent them? Theres already captain bans and removing the draft timers could break the site for obvious reasons

I don't really know but if the admins can't specifically do anything then people have to take it upon themselves to make sure the draft goes through rather than pandering to people begging in the chat for it to be killed or whatever.
Probably never going to happen but I suppose if people see the top players 'respecting' the draft process and people push the issue, others are likely to do the same. I know the whole 'respect the draft' idea sounds very cringey (and sounds like some U.S political slogan), but you get the point.

Can we fix people baiting pugs by adding as med and removing so it pings while were at it?
novyI'm not gonna drop names, but certain people on this website are straight up toxic.
Drop the names. Community is small enough that you have to, since you will have to interact with them at some point and they will just keep being the same person. Noone thinks it's them that is the problem but as soon as you actually confront someone and tell them they are a problem change can actually occur.
Which is how pugchamp should be ran. The rules should be done on a case by case basis, game by game. People should be mostly considerate with offclassing and shittalk. If someone isn't happy with how the game is going, or they are getting annoyed at people constantly killing drafts, they should tell the person doing it first, and when the person continues, then complain to an admin, and the admin should verify the behavior then punish the individual griefing the website. Whether it's by permanent captain ban, permanent class restrictions or other ways.
