additionally, 144hz monitors are no where near as expensive as they once where, for example the LG UltraGear 24GN53A is about 160 pounds now, i would also suggest buying a monitor used as its not something like a mouse or keyboard thats constantly man handled, you can save a lot of money, just be sure to actually enable 144hz once you get it, ive heard way to many stories of people buying high refresh rate monitors only to use them at 60 hz
I was never a good scout but learning to get that fat 185 as often as possible is something that helps a lot and once you get the habit it is quite safely locked in.
Young_SanityvStylaxI use high sens as well. High sens is for the chads low sens is for the virgins.funhaver19981. High refresh rate monitor

scrabOk here's a step-by-step guide
+good shit
I know Scrab mentioned it but really, don't neglect your movement. I kinda realised recently that i have really bad movement even for my mediocre level because I only ever focused on my aim and so even if I can hit shots, I'm not getting into good positions or im taking damage needlessly. The art of scout (and probably other classes) is really in the movement imo. For movement I think MGE is better than DM, especially scout vs soldier,.
Also, as somebody who switched sens a crazy amount of times, it's really true about what scrab said about your dm needing to be second nature. For me, thinking about my sens (and so aim) meant that I wasted so many scrims because I was focusing on if i was hitting shots rather than the actual thought process of the game itself. Of course, changing sens constantly also limited my mechanical improvement which kinda stunted my progression for 2 years or so, so don't do that.

DanceNumbernewbots for like 12 hours a day until your mind bleedsIs this true? I love newbots but it feels like im not improving when i play it. What are the best newbots settings?
Honestly it was a bit of a meme answer with some truth in it as well. Newbots is extremely good for developing muscle memory at your own pace. You can throw on some tunes and just frag for as long as you need. Other things that helped me, find someone to MGE with who's better than you, but who also doesn't mind playing against you. I played a ton against Dolphin Rider back in the day and he kept me super sharp. Another really good thing any player can do to improve rapidly (for any class really) is to find a team of people who share the same goal as you and stick with them for several seasons. I played 4 seasons with Mad Luxurious (including off season scrims and practice) and I think that was one of the reasons I improved at all. Very likely would have been hard stuck open had I not stuck around with other players who wanted the same.
