i'm considering tf2stadium but it seems kinda inactive, i don't know what to do
Don't play a game, it's better if you don't find out.
Stadium isn't "kinda inactive", it's completely dead
It’s nothing compared to a good pug. But it’s still something to play if you can’t find anything else in format.
You'd be better off playing in in-house pugs with dumb moderators and offclassers than try to play a game of TF2C, and you'd wait about a year for a game to even appear on TF2S.
I never really understood the hate on tf2c, sure there are some toxic ppl and trollers but if you are a beginner i think its a great way to get familiar and comfortable with the competitive gamemodes. assuming you are from europe you usually dont need to use mumble in lobbies so you wouldnt have to deal with any toxic people in voice chat either. i'd say give it a go:-)
All of my recent centers have been with friends, which takes almost all of the focus off TF2C and onto my friends :)
piratemaybe i'm either just not at the right time or unlucky but i never seem to find any lobbies when i go on the site
From what I've seen, US lobbies are active evenings/late at night. Haven't seen any during the day. Also they all use mumble so you'll end up getting a more authentic 6s experience compared to EU lobbies where no one comms and it's just a pub with 6s class limits

masterofdisaster and warpy are the last two tf2c admins and MoD is actually a nice guy and listens to players and tries his best, you don't have to worry about him sperging out on something.

Tbh I never got the hate on admins even in the past, I've been there since what, 2013, and I've never been banned without a reason even when a bunch of admins openly disliked me. Imo 99% of the people that got banned in the past and cried about it here were banned because they went out of their way to break rules and antagonize the admins/mn because "fuck tf2c funi meem"
Also: inb4 the usual -frags for defending tf2c

it was a fun enough way to get into what 6s was like without having to find pug groups or join a team. it's the lowest commitment to actually play a competitive format, though the quality and skill level of games varies greatly.
