For anyone wondering here's a yellow damage text that b4nny and Vorobey uses, this is not a hud or mod only changes your damage text.
Just unzip and drop the files in your custom folder

in banny's case at least it is a custom hud that changes the font of the damage numbers to be more easily visible as well as some other stuff. it's like defaulthud+ or something.

alternatively, if you just want your damage numbers to be yellow:

hud_combattext_red 255
hud_combattext_blue 0
hud_combattext_green 255
