I don't see why not. It's probably a hassle to manually check all the ETF2L/aus leagues and steamID's though (if they're even registered here).

I don't think AU is worthwhile, due to the vast difference between the top and bottom teams of the division.

theres like maybe 9 div 1 players in oz who could play invite in na
a lot of them would struggle in IM

Trying to reason with the autism within Mason is silly.

ah fuck i did that thing where i posted my opinion again
youre right outside of iM div 1 is well rounded and constantly improving
its definitely not a constant recycling of either people who cant stand eachother or who cant get better
which sounds a lot like esea-IM to me
didnt oz lose like 30% of its playerbase?
it wasnt anything personal, but if you dont think its accurate please tell me why instead of just calling me bad

You're making generalizations and blanket statements about a competitive scene in which your experience is playing in div 6 pugs. I'm confused as to why you thought your opinion on the matter would be relevant in the first place.

you still havent said why im wrong, only that im wrong
its fine either way, but with yuris team dropping out of prem this season im curious as to who you would think could compete in invite of the teams still standing
ive also got a wee bit more experience than div 6 pugs, but thanks for watching the stream anyway

Blue names should be reserved for the top players in the top scenes. Is the AU scene really comparable to EU and NA? I don't know much about it but I do know other smaller scenes like SA and Asia are basically terrible and if AU isn't much better I don't see the point in giving them blue names.

lol why does it matter if they aren't as good? they have flags next to their name that tells you what country they're from.

I made a thread about this way back and it got like 5 frags ;_;

It matters because OBVIOUSLY I could have a blue name if I lived in those scenes.
Honestly I'm all for it. Top players of each scene should be recognized for their sexiness :3

seems pretty pointless, but I'll bite;
how can you make an opinion on something that is already surrounded in subjectivity and expect an objective answer?
nobody can make a legitimate statement as to how each team stacks up against one another until they actually play each other on fair grounds (which wont be happening unless iM actually go to i49).
maybe once we have a point of reference we can draw implications from there, but for now you should probably tone down the generalized statements and biased opinions until you actually have something to work with.
there's a lot more to it but I can't be bothered sitting here writing out every single reason why what you said was bad and I'm sure most others aren't interested in doing anything similar

RawrSpoonIt matters because OBVIOUSLY I could have a blue name if I lived in those scenes.
Yeah I don't see why this is such a big issue. If we're that bad, then why don't we see more NA players living in AUS and schooling us all. Because it's a non-issue, that's why. It's not worth the time spent worrying about having a blue name, nor the effort of traveling over here and earning a blue forum handle, where you couldn't in NA.
Plus, like it was said, people will know what region you earned your 'invite status' in, by your flag or other public knowledge.
This is supposed to be a good thing !! I thought this was to be an international hub for tf2 (eventually). Discriminating by 'skill' (still subjective at this point), or by 'region' are both arbitrary choices.
