Woohoo! I'm so happy it worked. I was really nervous about the new system.

Regarding hotels, both nearby hotels are extremely busy and not steadily replying to us at the moment. Due to how quickly these hotels fill up, I'd suggest buying a hotel room now instead of waiting. If we do eventually get a block code, I'll post it here right away.
Additionally, the new ticketing system doesn't easily allow us to make changes to existing tickets, whether it's adding on a rental or changing your seat. If you think you might purchase a rental, just purchase the rental with your ticket and let us know if you need a refund if you decide you don't need it. Likewise, if you need to change your seat, it's easiest to refund your ticket and then buy a new ticket with your desired seat.

Ill probably swing by and do some photography and video work of everyone playing, I’ll essentially pick up where TAGG left off and get you guys some solid documentary footage.
I wanna make a Blu-ray dvd that can be sold for anyone that played during RGB. If you get demos at lan and pictures send them to me, I’ll work it into the movie and make it a documentary thing. I got Panasonic DVX200 that I’m using for one of the shows I’m working on in Michigan for SwearNet. It will be a mix of frag clips, interviews and other stuff that will happen at RGB. I can try talking with my connections with Mega64 and see if they wanna get on it as well.
Just an update on the project, recently came into some new gear for editing, from a local tech shop im friends with, got two mac pro towers and a 27inch and a 32inch 4k apple monitor for working on the movie. Also got a travel iMac for throwing footage on for storage or doing quick editing, rendering or editing photography.
Just to give you a feel for the quality of the bluray,
this is the dvx200 at 4k: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBZN73WZE6I
this is the canon 5d Mark 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8k77_JaW1M
I'm still deciding between making the documentary at 24fps like film, or doing 60fps. if you guys wanna vote on this thread for what you want, just post and let me know.
I'm also interested in working with someone on filming with the extra camera who is attending and not planning on playing much. If you have any experience with DSLR or Pansonic series cameras like the DVX, it would be prefered. You will be credited and payed for your work out of bluray sales.
I'm going to talk to Jason Carne about doing the type work for the Box Art and RiddickArt for Illustration work based on SFM Pictures. If you do SFM work and wanna get involved and wanna have your stuff used as the concept sample for the artwork, add me on steam (also if your interested in the video work.)
Ill post my demo reel and my last music video I worked on for anyone to checkout
we shot this in the dead of winter in Michigan, we snuck into the Detroit Railroad Station thru the sewers carrying pelican cases with lighting equipment, cameras and costumes. It was wicked cold, we had water proof boots, but the 2nd shooting location was at Flint at the Michigan State University parking garage, the guitar player didnt have the right shoes and almost got frost bite. https://vimeo.com/58752221
The demo reel is from when i was a roadie shooting live video for bands on the side while also documenting the band I was on tour with. When I get a chance Ill update my youtube with re-captured footage from those tapes. Essentially I would film other bands sets while waiting for mine to play, and sell them the footage after uploading it. Some bands even bought the tapes. Used to make a lot of bank doing this.

the footage on the demo reel was shot on the previous model of the camera I have (the dvx200) a dvx100b.

Wow, things just keep getting better. Got a call from one of my investors here in Saint Augustine FL who is part of that show I'm working on called Regulator, he offered to buy up the inventory on a comic-book action figure shop that's going out of business, he said we can sell the inventory and flip the profit to put towards this project,

I might save some of it to put towards prizes and stuff for UGC.
If anyone is local and wants to let me crash and have a safe place to keep these cameras and equipment, please add me on steam, Ill buy you some dinner and play smash.

Over the past week, I've reached out to teams and various individual players not yet on teams to see if starting group stage on Friday night will work for them. I gave everyone the team signup deadline of 6:30 PM on Friday night, followed by group stage starting at 7 PM. Every single response I received said that there will be no issue with those times, along with a couple saying that they'd have to rearrange their schedule to make that work but it wouldn't be a problem.
That being said, I'm officially confirming the following in the schedule:
Team signup deadline: Friday (2/16) at 6:30 PM
Group stage: Friday (2/16) at 7 PM
Double elimination: Saturday (2/17) at 11 AM
If someone on your team can't make a group stage match in time, you may use a ringer. Just a reminder that group stage is used only for seeding and no one gets eliminated.
If anyone wants to complete their first round match of double elimination on Friday night, you'll be allowed as long as both teams agree.
If anyone has any questions or concerns, please let me know.
