personally i would go with the higher refresh.

i have a 180hz 34" 21:9 monitor and a 240hz 27" 16:9 monitor and i much prefer gaming on the 240hz

If you're going to play tf2 just get the second (higher refresh) monitor imo. No reason to get a widescreen unless you're doing stuff like racing sim, or some top-down games give you a higher FOV. If you want more 'screen' just get more monitors on the side.

Have you ever played abything on a 34 inch? I think its too wide for anything. What is the appeal of that for you? We have a 27 inch at work and I have a 27 inch in tbe mail and I think that's massive.

not sure how it is in the EU, but in NA there's a plugin we use that gets rid of the higher FOV that source normally gives wide-screen players, which I really took advantage when I used it in csgo or pubs to get a little bit more screen space, which might be another reason to have considered it in the first place. Otherwise I love widescreen monitors, and used to use one over 16:9 all the time.
that being said, one thing I noticed in your two monitor selections is that the higher refresh rate monitor you've chosen is 1080p, vs the 1440p widescreen model. If you do end up picking up a monitor, the 1080p models will feel so much less clear than one that you can buy with 2k or 4k capabilities for everything that's not directly related to tf2, and it's such a noticeable difference imo. try to find one that's at least 2k for anything modern that you plan on doing, and you can downscale games if you're worried about performance

antlerspixel density!!

this is also very important. 1080p is totally fine for 24” but ~27+” you will want 1440p

Get the 24 if you’re primarily playing tf2 and other FPS games. If you use the setup mostly for work school or other things ultra wide is probably better

Extra fov to spawn camp on ammomod xd but I like the thinking of trying it out first so will see if I can perhaps return from Amazon just to try out first.

Widescreens for fps games have never felt right to me. Plus, 3440x1440 resolution is gonna tank your frames in more demanding games provided you don't have a very high end gpu.

27inch 240hz 1080p seems to be the sweet spot for FPS and Quality.

I think it would be harder as you need to look around the screen more and your sens will feel strange

Unfortunately they seem to not be making the good shit in 24 inch anymore, but even for normal web browsing I would say 24 is better. My Gf doesn't even play games and she agrees on this and hates using 27. I'm just sorta forced to take 27 inch, but the one i got has a 24 inch mode, so I guess it's ok

My grandma's TV is literally 32 inch for across the room
