To be honest, I myself don’t remember the whole situation or why it happened. Let’s get things clear: Before, during, and after (for about two hours) posting my legendary Discord message, I:

1. Was not familiar with a person named Jan.
2. Never knew he was dying from cancer or that he had passed at the time of posting.

The situation went like this: It was a typical 7:00 AM morning. I had slept for about three hours after gaming and barely kept my eyes open for school. I hopped into VC to say a quick hi, someone mentioned that someone ded in between yap. I didn’t take it seriously and, honestly, still don't. That’s the entire explanation behind the situation. [i]The whole thing was a shitpost without the actual knowledge of what had happened.

And my third point: I wasn’t the one who wrote that apology of mine, simply did not care back then (also chatgpt wasn't around) Not sorry nor ashamed to admit it, but I am proud that I’ve come further in my English language journey than before.

When the whole thing happened, it snowballed into a big mess, which included some events that I’d like to remind you of:

(If the situation was vise versa and my friend died and I was in position of power, I wouldn't reduce any sentence and none of this would ever slide, but yeah, happens ig, who are we to judge)

- If you look closely at the post right under my ban, there's another case — one punishable under EU law and in any normal country: inappropriate behavior around minors (as I recall, a 15-year-old boy received pp pics). Says a lot about the admins of that time period.

To try to make this post less useless, I’d like to raise awareness about painless and harmless bone marrow donation for blood cancer patients. Most of them are in desperate need of a genetic match, but there aren’t nearly enough donors. The process is incredibly simple: Go to a clinic, get a blood test, and that’s it. I registered as a donor 2.5 years ago and am still hoping for a call one day.

I don’t know the point of bringing up the past, but the last thing I want to say is this: Over these past five years, I’ve also experienced the loss of someone to cancer. We weren’t on good terms, but I do my best to support his very young son. In fact, right after the funeral, the kid couldn’t bear to stay any longer and asked me to join him. We went back to their home and spent the rest of the day playing Sons of the Forest and, yeah, Fortnite. When I think about it, it’s kind of ironic — never once in that moment did my own words cross my mind.
