Nothing custom loading

I opened up Steam today and started up TF2 and nothing I had in my custom folder loaded in. Chris's max frames didn't load, nor did rayshud, or anything from my cfg for that matter. I closed TF2, restarted Steam, updated rayshud, and tried to do some tweaking but nothing worked. I went to properties and clicked on "BETAS" and it said I wasn't opt for any betas although I opted for steampipe a few days ago.

Is it all in your custom folder, or in a folder inside the custom folder?

Something I made for a friend as he went over to steampipe

Did you put rays hud in a folder called hud? I had a similar problem with broselhud but you don't just put the files into the custom folder. You put it into a folder called hud inside the custom folder.

Your cfg and max frames should be in the cfg folder in tf not the custom folder.

This is all assuming your on steampipe.

Yeah, I was also assuming you're using steampipe, since regular tf2 doesn't have a custom folder to my knowledge

Actually I think your method might be better. When I updated to steampipe it kept my old cfg files and put them into the new one so I didn't lose anything from there. Do you think it makes a difference?

It copies it all over, but it doesn't work.
So the Configs are in the cfg folder (inside tf, not custom) but they're not loading, they HAVE to be inside custom if you want to load them.

Same with all custom resources/sounds. They get carried over but they don't work.
Also custom menu's don't work to my knowledge, since the files names for them changed.

So yeah, it makes a difference.

Weird because all of my cfg files loaded the same as before steam pipe updated. My resource and sound didn't but I had no issues with binds or anything like that.

You gotta remember that when you load a cfg, it doesn't load temporary settings, but changes the settings permanently.
So even if you remove the cfg completely, the settings will still be there when you launch tf2 again.

So your settings probably got carried over in the change, but if you modify said cfg, those settings won't take affect.

Again, I'm not sure. I worked all of this steam pipe out without any tutorials or anything (Minus a thread on etf2l which helped a lot) so I'm working totally on assumptions.

Well I just tried modifying my cfg today and changed a few binds and it worked no problem for me. Well modifying worked I just am having trouble modifying it to do what I want

Maybe it still works then?

I read in the thread that cfg's need to be in the custom folder, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was changed/was wrong in the first place.

Either way this makes Lawena a hell of a lot easier to use now.

SherbIs it all in your custom folder, or in a folder inside the custom folder?

My folder looked exactly like that and it wasn't working. It now looks like this.

I re-installed rayshud with the steampipe installer and it's now here.

I'm also having 2 strange problems, 1) I'm getting a strange mouse lag and 2)My settings are no longer being saved for eg I have a bind that switches between cl_hud_minmode 1/0. So say I have the game in minmode 0 when it launches, I join a server change it to minmode 1 and disconnect and quit game. And when I restart it has cl_hud_minmode 0 enabled, same for any cvar. This never happened before and is very annoying.

Ok so I think Steam changed my config directory. I never did it. How do I change it to what I have everything in? It changed it to "steam\steamapps\*insert id here*\team fortress 2\platform\config" instead of being "steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom" which is what I had before.
