It looks like there are many different kinds of proms. Mine sucked, people just sat at tables and drank pepsi while some people danced slows. I did dance(and sucked at it) with the pretty girl I brought to prom, but aside from that there was nothing even remotely interesting. Also, none of us could be drunk, they had 2 cops with a breathalyzer at the door and it was on a sunday so if you missed school on monday you risked being expelled.
I mean, sure, if it's your thing, go for it, man.
