I've been looking through old threads at builds people have recommended and found this:
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Yawny/saved/1FRU
I was wondering what kind of FPS I would get with DX8 and maxframes, also is it out dated or what. My budget is about $800 and I need a monitor as well.
Help is very appreciated

Replace the 650, it's really underpowered compared to the rest of your computer.

Should be fine.
I have to question why the 650 + SSD instead of a better card though.

Could you tell me what to replace it with because I'm clueless

660ti is probably within your budget and a solid choice.

I don't think you really need a cpu cooler. That processor will run tf2 fine without any overclocking
Graphics card choice also depends on your resolution. Don't know if you forgot to include a monitor or if you already have one

replace the power supply for at least a 600w one.

Check the PC Building forum on boards.ie (if you're actually in Ireland). Most people there buy from http://hardwareversand.de because of the flat-rate shipping.

If you are in a position to be patient, meaning you don't need the monitor right away, then I would wait for the next sale on the Asus VG248QE, the 24" 144Hz monitor. It has come down to $240 before and it will again. In my eyes, if you're going to drop money on a monitor, you may as well pony up and buy the best, and that will last you the longest into the future. Leave the 60Hz for console kids man, 120Hz and above will make you drool.

I probably won't be building it until the end of summer when I've researched some more, also the 120hz is a bit pricy for me

530W is plenty for this build.

Well, at least I tried to convince ya. I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever you end up choosing.

get a 6300 instead(for the cpu and not a liquid cooler get a hyper 212 evo cpu cooler), and a 650 ti or 660 non ti if you get rid of the ssd. also if u want a 120hz monitor get the asus vg248qe it's a beast and you can run it fine with that build if u get what i suggested.

I've made some changes and this is what I've got

for some reason the motherboard is about €40 dearer even though I haven't changed it

Something like this would be pretty solid, I think.

I agree with #17 with that 8320 and im surprised you could squeeze in a 7850 2gb. If you do go with the 650 ti pick 2gb not 1gb it'll help with 1080p resolution. Try to stick with corsair or seasonic when it comes to power supplies. Rosewill isn't bad but corsair lasts longer.

you misspelt the url there, thanks for the site though. I normally have to get stuff deliverd to my grandmother up north to avoid crazy shipping costs.

BASICALLY, get a power supply that uses Japanese Capacitors. XFX uses the same parts as SeaSonic, so that's an alternate option.

As of right now, there is no reason to buy an nVidia card unless you're getting a titan or 690. Go with a 7850 rather than a 660, as it will perform just the same and you get 3 free games

Jeez, why is Ellie getting downfragged ^
He's mostly right in that in *more* games you will get higher performance. Not all. But there's other reasons to go with NVIDIA like the PhysX technology which you might want, geforce experience and I think they have better optimized drivers too. Anyway, either choice is not a bad choice, AMD or NVIDIA

I was looking on hardwareversand and there's two types or processors, boxed and tray. Is there a difference in performance or what? The tray one is €5 less as well
never mind I think I get it now

boxed -> with stock cooler -> buy if you won't overclock
tray -> no cooler -> buy a good cpu cooler so you could overclock
