So ive been playing on my laptop for over a year now. Mainly tf2 but some other games too. I have to build a good gaming pc before I kill myself playing on this shitty laptop. My budget would be around 1100-1200 including a 120/144hz monitor(if possible). Since I never built a PC before, im not really feeling confident enough to choose all the parts all by myself so I thought you guys might help a lot. keep in mind that I live in Canada for the shipping, but I guess that wont be a problem. Oh yeah and if the budget could include a mouse and a keyboard, that would be great.

edit: okay this build should be good for streaming, and playing most games on max settings on 1080p. For a mouse, i just got the zowie ec2 evo and i love it (get the white version) The keyboard is 10 keyless so it doesn't have a numpad but if u want one then just look for the same keyboard but without tk. I put in brown switches but you can choose which u want.

Thanks for helping! I dont really want to overclock or stream. Just wanna play with really good frames. Mainly tf2 but id love to run any game with the best frames possible.I have a couple of games on steam wich I dont play much since I get shitty frames on low settings with the computer I have. I don't recommend going with a 5 series since the 600 and 700 series are already out.
With the new series, you're able to have more options for a single GPU. For example, EVGA created a cooling unit that's only available in the 700 series. For ASUS, they made the Direct CU II only for the 600-700 series.

i5-3570K or fx-8350 (oc'd or not) doesn't really matter.
The intel has the better per core performance so it will perform better in games with worse multithreading. In case you didn't know: TF2's multithreading is shit.

AMD if you're going to stream and do other things that use more cores.
I honestly doubt you'll notice more than 10 FPS difference between them on decent settings though because both will generally guarantee 144+ fps with that card.

I would say you should open up a bit to the idea of overclocking. The i5-3570K is like 10 dollars more than the 3570 (without the K) which means it's locked and you cannot overclock very much.
Basicly your paying 10 dollars extra and maybe a bit extra for a motherboard but the value you get is huge because in a few years, you'll be able to just overclock your components instead of going and trying to upgrade again. Just putting that out there
Also in terms of AMD or Intel, as someone says it's not a huge difference 3570K or FX-8350. Most notable differences are that 3570K will perform better in tf2 which is what your looking for mostly as far as I can tell, it doesn't get as hot which will help the lifespan and let you overclock further in general. It also benefits a lot more from overclocking than 8350. From overclocking the 8350 by say 500Mhz, you often see a 1-5% increase in performance whereas the 3570K is size-ably higher, also time proofing it more. It's possible that the 8350 will perform better in the future because as far as I know the consoles are adopting a similar architecture but I would say that will be balanced out by how well intel's chips overclock.
Also what do you guys know about the 4670K instead? I heard that it gets really hot but that's about it. It could possibly be a better option for Gourde?

The 4670K should be about the same price and is 5-15% faster right now. Anything that uses AVX2 or FMA3 (most programs will do that in the next few years) should perform even better.
The 4670K is harder to overclock if you don't delid it but otherwise the temperatures are fine.
If you can get a 4670K and a LGA1150 motherboard for max 50$ more than the 3570K + a similar mobo then go for it.

I'm not entirely sure if it's worth it if it's 50 dollars more. After all it's 5-15% faster... I could have the wrong mindset though.
