Just hijacking this thread; Alyka is dabes. I love that guy now.

also, just about nothing you can change in nvidia settings will take effect in tf2 because it is either disabled by default, or you can just switch it off via commands.

You can force Ambient Occlusion in Nvidia Inspector, but it isn't optimized so expect a massive frame drop from it. Looks nice in videos though.
