This may not apply for everyone, but I get much better FPS when I run in fullscreen as opposed to windowed mode.

That's normal because it deactivates aero.

I'm playing on a relatively shitty laptop and I can definitely notice more mouse lag in borderless windowed, even with aero and everything off. I don't think it makes a difference on higher-end systems though.

Once I played windowed, I got 25-35 fps, but in fullscreen I got 75+ fps.

Its mainly windows stuff that doesn't get disabled in windowed that causes lagg

I think that goes for everyone since running in fullscreen makes the game run dedicated, otherwise on windowed/borderless your gpu/cpu have to render both game and desktop at the same time.

disabling aero seems to give me a 20-60 fps boost depending on the map
