Hey, im kyles dad. Im not accustomed to the way things go on the computer. But i am amazed at the awesome response to friends that i dont even know. I say thank you from deepest part of my heart.

From myself:
i dont even know where to begin with this. it has only been 8 hours and you guys have given me $2,784.48 USD in donations to go directly to my sister, and its not done yet. Words cant do justice what kind of favor you have given me and my family in our time of need. I knew at least a few people enjoyed me in this community. But to get this sort of response from you guys is absolutely crazy for lack of a better word. My mind is going a million different directions right now after seeing this. I was literally in tears on my desk trying to explain to my dad what was going on and how i knew you guys were better than he thought, and trust me, his opinion has done a total 180 on how he feels about this community. I might have some free time this weekend or the 20th and i want to start those days off giving back to you guys. Whatever i can do, signing weapons, demo reviews, just pubbing and having fun, whatever. Im going to try and give back to you guys as much as i can when i get freed up. If anyone has donated, please, PLEASE add me on steam and just tell me who you are and what you would like in return. I dont care what you ask for or what you want to do, were gonna do it. The same can go for ANYONE who wants to give me there thoughts or just talk to me on steam personally and get something or do something. Like i can not express in words how much i love you guys right now.

Snowy has a point, so no need to go hating on him for it.
However, the TF2 community is one giant family. We can all relate to each other as we all share at least one passion. Part of what makes a community is looking out for each other, and while your money might be better spent being given to some Cancer charity or aid for a disaster, this is going to make a huge difference to a certain member of OUR community and that's a powerful drive.
This could happen to any of us, it's nice to know that people in this community have got each other's back through all the usual flames and shit we throw at each other.

Awesome stuff, Lange. You are a baller.

SnowyI know everyone will hate me for saying this; I'm already prepared for it.
I've said it before during the Japanese tsumani aid campaign, and I'll say it again now. There are better ways to spend your money.
What happened to ghos7ayama was tragic. But the true tragedy lies in what happened to his sister, and the emotional pain the family must now undergo. The pain of material loss is much lesser to any reasonable family.
He's already stated that he's not necessarily asking for donations, which implies that his family is prepared to try to make ends meet despites the hardships involved. There are countless others who do not have this luxury.
If you're a personal friend of ghost and simply wish to help him out because that's what friends do, by all means, go ahead. If, however, you're simply caught up in the sudden influx of altruism that you never knew flaring up within you (and if you don't believe this of yourself, ask: when was the last time you donated to an apolitical cause without having been asked? Include donation drive boxes in your query) then I must implore that you redirect your money to a greater cause.
What happened to ghos7ayama is a deep, personal tragedy that I'm very sorry to hear of. People are dying in droves because they're unable to afford the cheapest of vaccines, else starving, or dying from contaminated water.
The difference in the quality of life you can make for these people with the same amount of money that you would have sent to ghost is so vast that it is inhumane. Ghost's family might make part of rent and pay off a slight portion of his debts with a thousand dollars. The same amount could sustain an impoverished village for months.
Gve your money to your own causes. But please, consider what is you're trying to do - to improve the quality of life of a family in ill-fortune. Dumping thousands of dollars to an independent family is not the optimal, or even remotely efficient, way to go about it.
Again, I would like to extend my sincerest apologies to ghos7ayama and his family for daring to even utter such a suggestion.
you're such an insensitive fuck

I made a tf.tv account and logged back into steam after almost a few months when I saw his status of facebook and my jaw just dropped.
My name is gandhi, I played medic for a few teams in the earlier seasons of competitive tf2 and was close with Kyle at some point. I met him back in the Gib$ community days and I kept logging on to play tf2 just because of people like Kyle. His charisma, energy, and laughter are so contagious and uplifting that I dedicated full days to playing pubs and pugs with Kyle almost 3 years ago. He is the one who introduced me to competitive tf2 with pugs and eventually we even became teammates.
From the bottom of my heart kyle, I am extremely sorry this happened to you and your family. This whole community and people you dont even know are behind your sister, you, and your family in times like this. I'll definitely play my role and chip in after I write this post.
I love hearing from you every time I log into steam every once in awhile and please just tell me if you need anything bud.

For the TF2 items stuff (especially Unusuals) We should like post them on trade sites, get a middleman and also some hardcore traders who knows how to convert buds and stuff into USD, we could also auction those thing off (Have to be very careful about scammers though) or do another Tip of the hat-ish style where donators get a chance to win the unusuals?

I think if Lange wanted to deal with the hassle, it would work out well with him taking everything. I personally would throw all my unusuals at Lange (if I had any, lol) without doubting that they go where I want them to go.
But it's of course a complicated procedure. Maybe there can be another even with these things sorted out.
