ctf as a whole has already been banished by kalkin iirc
edifice isnt good enough to replace g-pit
derecho has so many issues its basically still in alpha
nightwatch is pretty much in the same boat as derecho
Ashville is just a dream, viaduct is the reality
canopy is basically a cluster fuck as is, but in time could be playable
and standin, as much as id like to see it again i highly doubt it will happen... it was voted in too early even when we knew of the capping issues (which have been fixed to incentivise teams to finish the caps)
soooo.......

While I personally love GPIT, playing it and watching it, it doesn't really fit in with most of the ideas presented in the other 7 maps.
But if it were all up to me, another KOTH map would be looked for or incentivized for s16. That would replace GPIT.
We would also get rid of metalworks and bring back warmfront, especially if warmfront got a few small changes. People seem to like metalworks, but it seems to be symptomatic of the low quality of alternatives. Metalworks presents situations not found anywhere else - mainly because of how wonky the transition is between second and mid, and how hard angled the map is (you can't really ever see anything without fully peeking in) and how often the defender has a tremendous advantage (height, being obscured by random props etc).

I still see several people complaining about Metalworks. After this season, I don't think it's that bad at all. After my team really learned the map and practiced it, we felt very comfortable with it. It reminds me of when Process first came around and it was awkward for a lot of people, and iirc I noticed a lot of people complaining about it; but, now, it's a great and popular map and mostly everyone seems to enjoy it. I'm not trying to argue that Metalworks is objectively as good as Process, but it's not that bad of a map at all, and I kind of like it.
