Hi everyone im 21 the bearded wonder and ive been messing around casting pub's for a fun the past year or so and recently ive decided to give some real, 6v6 and ugc casting a try. i have casted a few ugc matches with kip but this video is my first attempt casting a 6v6 match albeit not a high level.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFUCv9SbuMU
ps. i have a false start so the first mid is actually a pregame fault on my part lol
any advice is appreciated being an asshole isn't. also if anyone is interested i still cast pub's on Thursdays and i can sometimes convince kip to join me if u wanna join the madness.

The beginning turned me off. You have a good casting voice, the right amount of enthusiasm, but I was pulled out of it when you didn't really know what was going on and didn't have stuff like the player names beforehand.
I don't watch a lot of casts, but I imagine it would start with the team names, what map they're playing, and then during the set up or whatever you could delve into who is who and plays what, that kind of thing.
I don't personally take offense when you said, "Jesus Christ" but some people might, so it came across as less professional. But I could just be too tentative with stuff like that idk.
When you started talking about the silly names of the players, just the way you talked about it made it obvious that you were trying hard to fill in the silence and lack of action. If possible, it would be good to read something about the teams or say something like where they are in x league, stuff like that.
I'm impatient with most videos so that's as far as I got, but definitely not bad at all for your first 6v6 cast in my opinion, I hope you put out more stuff!

less 3rd person and floating camera and more 1st person POVs.
the names and health right in the middle of the screen is really annoying.
also you might want to turn your overlay off while you're recording.
your commentary is good, you have great energy and say some funny stuff that makes the cast a little more interesting. my only criticism about the commentary is that you're just telling us what is happening on screen, which isnt that big of a deal if all you're doing is play by play, but some more analysis about what is going on would be more interesting but thats more of a personal preference thing. i just think theres more depth to watching a match than "this guy just jumped in and missed 3 rockets and got DE_STROYED" but then again this looks more like a pug than something you could find in UGC or ESEA so im not sure how much depth there really is.
also: pub casts? is that a thing?

thanks for the advice. i didnt know much about the teams as a steam friend randomly asked me if i wanted to cast a 6v6 Reddit league game in 15 minutes so i did lol. as for more analysis less play by play id like to do that but ive been outta of the comp tf2 scene for a while becasue (work/school/smite) and i need to work on my knowledge base a little as i havent been keeping with he scene lately especially with all the big names such as sal and what not dropping out.
thanks again and yes London pub cast are a thing, although im really the only person who does it although ive gotten kip to join me in a few and she seemed to enjoy it. a whole different dynamic when u have 20 people all collapsing on a koth point in over time lol.
again thank you.
