why is this thread still a thing? it's not getting anywhere and it's not going to. if your friend needs a new computer so bad, tell him to sell off any good parts and to get a job. saying that is about as much as we can do when we're not wanting to spend our money on everyone.

Asking the community to help for charity or an event is one thing, but advertising to basically buy him a new computer is honestly not the way to go. You would have been better off reaching out to trustworthy friends of yours/his on steam to see if anyone could help. Making these threads will just start a bad trend, and really, who knows if it's a scam.
Good example - yz's pc literally exploded 2 seasons ago. He told all of us on the team, and without even asking for help we all decided to kick in and help him get new parts. He could have spammed the community for donations (and probably would have got alot) but chose not to.

I don't believe in money charity for computer parts. Giving away old parts maybe, but money straight up is pretty dumb.

Ghos7 had an actual tragedy which costed a lot of money. This guy's computer broke. I understand that he has financial issues which is sad, so does my family, but do you really expect people to jump into action like we did with Ghos7?

x3CranCARRY if that's how you feel then don't donate it's as simple as that, all I'm trying to do is help somebody who I see as a brother. I get why people wouldn't donate and that's fine, but there's people who maybe able to help; simple as that. As I said in my post I'm trying to get more info on exactly what parts he needs or what blew out/fried in his computer.
Helping buds is fine. I just dont think we sould have too many ''Help my friend posts'' on tf.tv when someone have a computer problem and cannot afford to repair it for a certain amount of time. Just my 2 cents, i have nothing about helping people, i have donated to ghost through raffles and stuff. Just gotta choose the right cause.
+1, I had to get a new computer at the beginning of this esea season in order to continue playing and nearly drained my bank account by doing so. The last thing I would ever do is ask people for money to help me get a new computer. Its a luxury not a need and no one should be dishing out money for something like this.
