class-specific configs not working

alright so I know I've been out of the loop for a long fucking time, but I think I've got everything back in order except for the fact that my old class binds and scripts aren't working at all. I couldn't even do anything except jump and crouch until I manually rebound them in-game, and the custom scripts/aliases that I had used aren't working anymore.

Do I need to put that part of my config in the "common" part of the steamapps folder instead of the \svfrey\ part?

As the guy above said, you now need to make a folder in teamfortress2/tf/custom. Call it whatever you want, and in that, if you want, you can make another folder for all your class configs. (Just to keep it organized). In my custom folder, I have sub-folders for cfgs, huds, sounds, etc.

Goat is wrong, slide sounds a little iffy. Correct path is:

tf/custom/<name this anything>/cfg/spy.cfg

I have all my cfg's in tf/cfg and it works fine. It's probably better as far as organization goes to put it in a custom folder, but the location of your files might not be the problem.

Or maybe it is, idk.

tf/cfg still works but there's an ever so slight chance that an update which changes a file you have in there will overwrite what you have in there, so you should back stuff up if you decide to put it there.

Don't put it there, it's just bad form.
