Recently after that major update my TF2 has been having lag problems. It is only when I play tf2 that when I'm playing every 10 seconds my ping jumps to 500 and my game just freezes. I never had this problem before and I honestly don't know what to do. I have called my internet provider to restart my modem, restarted my router, and restarted my pc.

Other games like killing floor, left 4 dead 2, borderlands co-op, and dota 2 are fine and do not have this issue.

I think I'm having the same problem.

Tf2 will just freeze like my connection died yet I'd still be talking to the people in mumble. What's worse, after the freeze, some enemies become invisible.

I had this problem with tf2 and dota2. try plugging directly into your modem, run cmd and type ipconfig. then ping your gateway IP address infinitely ie: ping 192.168.10.1 -t. let it run for a few minutes and if you get any request timed out then you know your ISP is dropping packets to your modem. from that point you will know its your isps problem and not yours. if you need more help feel free to add me on steam

This has been happening to me all day. just tried doing the ping my gateway address and it just said request timed out for ~5 minutes.

Did a speedtest to see if my net was being buggy again and i'm still getting normal speeds.

Not sure if this is relevent but i've talked to a couple people and they've all had the same exact problem as me.
