Building a computer for tf2

I've got a budget of ~$700 for a computer that I'd like to be able to play tf2 with a decent amount of fps.

I don't think I'm going to need to buy a new HDD.
If possible I'd like to just use amazon to buy my parts, since I'll get free 2-day shipping with the prime trial I activated. I don't live near any computer stores or anything of the like anyways.

I honestly have no clue what I'm doing though, so I'm willing to defer to any expertise you guys might have.

Do you need a monitor/OS/other peripherals?

if I can budget for it I might be interested in a 120/144hz monitor but if I can't work it in without sacrificing too much I don't think I'd be interested in anything else.

EDIT: possibly a decent tenkeyless mechanical if there's any good deals

Something like this. I'm not the best at PC part lists so someone may have to tweak it.

I'll probably end up cutting out the mechanical then, since that setup is a bit on the high end of $700, but thanks for helping out.

EDIT: I may just order the case from newegg, I've never even heard of microcenter and it doesn't look like they do anything besides instore pickup

I've looked into that website, most everyone has told me that their builds aren't the best use of my money and that parts they list are often not the best you could get for the price.

That said, I've just ordered all the parts element provided me with, thanks for all the help!

Just a bit of advice, don't do that in the future.

I might have jumped the gun a bit, but the parts looked nice for the price and I talked it over with some of the more tech-savvy people I know before I made the decision to buy

Well I'm not sure what you would consider good FPS and whether or not you'll have an FPS config but with a 144hz monitor you're going to need 289 FPS constant to take advantage of it. I think you SHOULD be ok with the parts you ordered, but I'm not so sure you'll have that fps consistently, especially with pretty low settings.

You won't get a lot of FPS with that setup and you won't be able to use 144 Hz monitor in its full potential. if I were you I'd cancel that order.

You need to drop (return or cancel the order) the FX-6100 and at least get the FX-6300. It has architectural improvements along with a higher clockspeed, which will give you more performance in TF2.

You should have took his original advice. While it isn't a terrible build, it could be tweaked to give you, personally, something better. This would have been more suited for you:
