Okay well, for the last 2 weeks or so every time I launch tf2 on a map such as Badlands there are specific spots where my mouse becomes almost unplayably choppy... My fps is fine, constant 120-150 fps, but the its still extremely choppy, I've tried 3 mouses and none of them have seem to make a difference... I've tried defragging my game and hard drive but it doesn't help. Any advice on something like this? I do play on dx9, is it possible that I am playing with the graphics to high for my computer to handle? Really any help would be nice... It is especially the worst now in MGE, so I would really like to fix it.
could it be a problem with your mouse and not your game? What mouse do you use? And also, it may be your internet connection and not your actual computer. i know one time my internet was not lagging (my ping was like 30) but my computer was too far from my router and it had a hard time reaching the internet. Maybe check if your somehow too far from your router if your playing wirelessly
I am playing wirelessly, so that may be the problem, I am currently using the Razer Abyssus, and I am pretty sure its not the mouse because I've been trying to see if its the same with my friends' mouses and they react the same way. My internet has been extremely shitty lately, (timing out for like a second randomly every other minute, etc) but my ping is still low, even on the net graph its at 40 or so ping and I'll still be lagging. So it could possibly be the problem.
one possibly cause of this i've encountered is the polling rate of either the USB port you're using or your mouse could have dropped to 125hz, hence a choppy feeling with normal FPS
try looking for a program called "usb mouse rate", it should tell you what your polling rate is. you basically dont want to have below 500hz (although i've heard of some people liking 250hz)
edit: you could also try capping your fps at a lower, more stable rate to see if its fps fluctuations causing it and launching a map on a local server rather than joining an internet server could rule out internet problems (map cp_badlands in console)

Clean your mousepad or desktop. The silicon footpads of the mice feet rub off and can build up on whatever surface you're using and will mess with your mouse's sensor.
You can also try net_graph 4 and see if anything weird is going on with your connection because it might be the cause.
Lastly, I've heard there are issues with Steam Cloud sometimes. One of my friend's cleaned his Steam Cloud storage and fixed his mouse issues that way.

I found a solution, like matlock said it could be steam cloud issues which it was, I deleted my steam cloud and renewed it and now it works just fine, better then ever, in fact, thanks Matlock!
