I just noticed the esea lan schedule

Does it usually finish at the estimated time? Assuming it really finishes at 2pm we could still go on with the cup this day, because I was only aiming to start at like 3-4 pm anyway

Last season it actually was ahead of schedule for most if not all of the time and finished on time. That being said, timing might be a little tight, especially considering that it's an evening tournament and depending on how many teams register, since you have to have at least one hour per round if going by ESEA rules.

Well, just be prepared for the possibility of it being prolonged due to delays or logistical overhead.

Time for a deserved update on the cup.
Sorry for no news lately but I have been really busy, i46, then portuguese lan the past weekend and I have had absolutely no time between work and all this.
Currently there are 52 Teams signed up, which is quite a good number.

28 teams for the EU cup and 24 for the NA cup. Altough there are a few applications that are/will be null or denied from what I have checked.
I haven't had the time to review any application just yet, will try to have it done by the end of this next weekend maximum, so teams who are denied have a chance to find a sub if they want.
I also had a donation of another 12 keys from the one and only Russian Guyovich, these will go towards 2nd place prizes, so each of the 2nd placed teams will get 6 keys as well now.
I also haven't promoted the cup that much because I was holding off until I made some important decisions about the future of comp.tf, and it will be another couple of days until I have that stuff cleared up.
Time for a deserved update on the cup.

They are the same, steel red and steel blue were just made because the old steel team list was getting too big.

hopefully yes... I have talked to a couple of organizations but I will need to finish details by the end of the week.
Everyone I talked to showed interest in it but said it would depend on the availability of streamers and casters for the day.

First of all, this is still happening. Sorry for the lack of updated but IRL commitments and work problems got the better of me these paast couple of weeks. I didn't have as much time as I wanted and when I got it I was extremely tired to do anything.

For the NA cup we have arranged a great sponsorship from Mawr servers which will be providing all the servers for the cup + the winner's server. We will have 10 servers available: 4 Chicago, 2 Atlanta, 2 Dallas, 2 LA.
These will work on a first come first server basis, and each team leader should add the other team leader and agree on a server location and request it to me as soon as possible.
For the EU cup, we weren't able to ultimate details and we are making a last minute decision. If you have a server you can use your own server, otherwise we recommend using http://serveme.tf/ to rent a server for the match time (please do it in advance so all servers are not taken). This site is very straightforward and easy to use but if you have any question contact me. Also in last resort you can reach me for a server if there are no servers available on serveme.tf
