Day 1, thread 50 - Looking for a game to buy. I would prefer it to be more recent, but that's not necessary. I also highly prefer it to either be an FPS game that is more MP focused, or an open world RPG (excluding Witcher (why the hell does W3 have to come out next year...) and TES) that is sort of or pretty lengthy.
Lately I've been getting super picky about games I'm willing to play, but if you can convince me to try out a game that doesn't fit the description above, then I'll potentially give said game a shot. It's a shame that practically every good looking game won't be out for at least 2 months or more.

Deus Ex, both the original and Human Revolution are good. Dragon Age: Origins is another good one, I don't recommend DA2.
There's plenty of old D&D based RPGs like Baldur's Gate and Planescape Torment that I would personally recommend, but if you can't bring yourself to play old games then there isn't really a point.

I have CSGO, but I can only bother playing it if I'm really bored. FNV I've played and it's a great game. Beat DE:HR and DAO; both great games. DA2 isn't that bad, you just can't think of it as a "sequel".

Damn, I don't know what games you have. I guess XCOM could count partially as an RPG, even though the gameplay is all top down RTS strategy. Torchlight 2 is fun also if you haven't played it yet. Honestly, the amount of good RECENT rpg's is really few IMO. The King's Bounty games are fun if you don't mind tactical fighting on a hex grid.
I actually really enjoyed Mount and Blade: Warband for a lot of hours. It's super unpolished, the environments for the cities are the same, and you'll spend half your time running across the map. But the combat is similar to Chivalry and the troop building concept is really cool.

There's also an armory and leveling system. It's both, like Warlord's Battlecry. Assuming we're talking about Enemy Unknown.

Played some of it and it seems highly repetitive. Maybe that's because I only played 3 different robberies though.
#22 Bought SR4 a few weeks ago. Good game, but so incredibly repetitive. You literally just do the same thing over and over. The free roam, sandbox style of the game doesn't nearly match that of GTA. I just want GTA to be out alreadyyyyy

I second Fallout : New Vegas. One of the best games I've ever played. Gameplay is clunky, but mods make that much better.

I loved Red Dead Redemption. Great plot and it takes a while to beat. Don't know if the multiplayer is alive at all because its kinda old.
